Return of the Duelist Full Set Review 6 Revenge of Spellcasters

Hetalia!!! Alrighty then I'm going to commence with operation darn I knew it would be too good to be true. so we can no longer use Miracle Contact for Rainbow Neos but oh well we can still make more fun things like Magma Neos and finally build N-Heroes. BTW Thunder Seahorse is the best Thunder Monster in the game... Discard it to add 2 Level 4 LIGHT Thunder-Type monsters with 1600 or less ATK from your deck to your hand with the same name... You can only activate a Thunder Seahorse once per turn... Meaning... Exodia just got another way to thin that isn't Thunder Dragon... So one can actually Thunder Dragon for two of itself... Then Thunder Seahorse for two of itself... essentially thinning the deck by 4 cards... and next turn being able to thin by another 2 cards if running more legal Thunder targets... but who cares about Exodia... Watts can now search out Wattcobra, Wattgiraffe, or Wattpheasant for a plus... I can imagine the turn one play for Watts now... Duality grab a Dragonfly... Thunder Seahorse grab Two Giraffe... Set Dragonfly End... Opponent runs it over grab Cobra... Summon Giraffe and start the end game lol. I mean consistently having a monster to play makes Watts scary as every monster translates to 1000 more damage added on to whatever Burn that they've taken from Cylinders or the clock that is Wave-Motion Cannon and means less useless top decks. Read More for the review

FIRST CARD:
Gagaga Revenge
Equip Spell Card
Activate by selecting 1 "Gagaga" Monster in your Graveyard. Special Summon the selected monster, and equip this card to it. When this card is removed from the field, the equipped monster is destroyed. Also, when this card is sent to the Graveyard due to the equipped Monster being used as Xyz Material, all Xyz Monster you control gain 300 ATK.

REVIEW: Well easy enough... oh I have a dead Gagaga Magician... Gagaga Revenge followed up with Necronomicon for the dead Gagaga Magician Girl... set level to 6... Overlay for Magi Magi Magician Gal. I really like this card just because it gives them their own personal Premature Burial which they needed so that they could at least place themselves on field together easier. It also doubles as a small boost to whatever they make along with Gagaga Girl making that even more useful by dropping an opponents Xyz to near nothing to be ran over happily. Expect to see a Gagaga deck built by me in May for sure thanks to this card. BTW Hidden Armory...

NEXT CARD:
Overlay Regenerate
Spell Card
Activate by selecting 1 Xyz Monster on the field. Place this card as the Xyz Material under the selected monster.

REVIEW: Short sweet to the point relatively powerful if used at the right time. Acid Golem, Daigusto Emeral, Lavalval Chain... heh figures. Of course you all forget giving something like Zenmaines an extra Material or especially Gantetsu... an extra 200 ATK and DEF is nothing to scoff at considering it already boosts everything by 400 before hand. I can see myself using this card somewhere like in the Utopia Joke deck I feel like building one day... A deck solely meant to drop Utopia Ray and actually use its equip cards like a boss only problem is ensuring it survives lol. This card lets you add an extra turn to Tiras an Extra 500 ATK to Utopia Ray. Letting your 3000 Leviathan Dragon attack directly. This card has a lot of uses but being a normal spell it must be used on your own turn taking away a lot of the element of surprise... opponent tries to run over a 0 Material Utopia with a weak monster... activate this... they lose their monster... but sigh because it isn't a Quick Play it loses a lot of power it could have had considering how mostly useless it is.

NEXT CARD:
Heroic Chance
Normal Spell Card
Activate only by selecting 1 "Heroic" Monster you control. During this turn, the selected Monster's ATK is doubled, but it cannot attack directly. Only 1 "Heroic Chance" can be activated per turn.

REVIEW: Why Konami Why!!! Why couldn't you just make this a legal Get Your Game On! for Heroic's? That'd be a way to make them so much better and quite possibly Tier worthy just because of the random death that can insue. But meh I can at least make a 8000 ATK Excalibur but he must run over something for maximum value... I wonder if it'd be better to just use Megamorph first as Excalibur changes his Original ATK trollol... 16000 Excalibur... hmm actually I'm gonna try a new kind of bubblebeat... running Megamorph and Heroic Chance and focusing on Excalibur. The random pissing oneself that would happen... Stratos>Bubbleman>Excalibur>Excalibur Eff>Megamorph>Heroic Chance... swing over for 13000 like an absolute boss. Heroic Chance may just possibly be more useful than I thought I'm gonna test it when its on DN.

NEXT CARD:
OOPArts Technology
Normal Spell Card
Activate by selecting 1 "OOPArts" Monster in your Graveyard. Remove from play the selected monster. Afterwards, confirm the top 2 cards from your deck, and add 1 of these cards to your hand, and send the other to the Graveyard. Only 1 "OOPArts Technology" can be activeated per turn, and during the turn you activate this card, you cannot Special Summon Non-"OOPArts" Monster.

REVIEW: OOPArts get a personal Duality... not bad honestly... Normal a Golden Shuttle... Crystal Skull for Moai... OOPArts Technology drop any Monster that gets picked unless its a Moai... if it was a Moai you can make Atlanthal if it wasn't then just settle for Machu-Mach. I'd even run this outside of Pure OOPArts in a Rock build utilizing Crystal Bone and Crystal Skull... just as an extra 3 Duality lol. This card is quite nicely balanced considering its Upstart Goblin for OOPArts.

NEXT CARD:
OOPArts Pyramid Eye Tablet
Continuous Spell Card
"OOPArts" Monster you control gain 800 ATK.

REVIEW: Solidarity for OOPArts... moving on... like literally this means nothing aside from letting your Machu-Mach OTK with Minimum guts work on 1200 ATK monsters... I mean its really useful in making your Weak OOPArts able to survive and actually deal damage. With triple MST though it sorta pales in possible power. This card like Solidarity before it is sorta meh.

NEXT CARD:
Galaxy Queen's Light
Normal Spell
Activate only be selecting 1 Level 7 or higher monster you control. Until the End Phase, the Level of all face-up Monster you control becomes the Level of the selected monster.

REVIEW: The only way to make Super Dimensional Robo Galaxy Destroyer for most decks. This card though also enables Lucky Stripe to be summoned with relative ease... Just Dark Magician + 2 other monsters + Galaxy Queens LIGHT. This also allows any deck running Tragoedia to summon Gustaph MAX or any Deck running Gorz to summon Big Eye... you see what that means don't you? This card if you want to play it opens up an entire new slew of Extra Deck options in Agents I'd run it in a heartbeat... Hyperion with some Shineballs... Gimmick Puppet Giant Killer/Ennead/Gimmick Puppet Heaven's Strings and so on. Hell drop a Blue-Eyes and a Alexandrite Dragon... Thunder End like a boss.

NEXT CARD:
Grimoire Book of Magic
Normal Spell Card
Add 1 "Book of Magic" Magic Card except a "Grimoire Book of Magic" from your deck to your hand. Only 1 "Grimoire Book of Magic" can be activated per turn.

REVIEW: So according to this can't search Batel damn ah well not a problem just a little disheartening. Still in a Book of Magic build you need this card maxed out just because it lets you thin and sets up your grave for Junon/Hairon and sets up your big plays with Necronomicon/Hygromantei/Torah. It also lets you tribute Temper as a plus once Junon hits field. Good card is good and its the first spell card in the game that is meant solely to search spell cards. Other Spell Cards due to wording can search other spell cards but this one actually is meant to do only that.

NEXT CARD:
Hygromanteia Book of Magic
Normal Spell Card
Activate by selecting 1 Spellcaster-Type monster you control. Until the End Phase of this turn, the selected monster gains 1000 ATK and if it destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you can add 1 "Book of Magic" Magic Card from your deck to your hand. Only 1 "Hygromanteia Book of Magic" can be activated per turn.

REVIEW: Well it makes any Spellcaster its used on a lot bigger than before and gives the benefit of a plus upon killing a monster... I like it... Majoleine>Majoleine/Butlerusk>Grimoire>Hygromanteia on Majoleine>Swing over with 2400 grab Grimoire from deck... you lost one card in hand to field +0... replaced one card with one from deck +1... replaced one card from hand with one from deck +0... played a card from hand -1... kill something +1.... search Grimoire +1... all in all you go +2. With Temper Junon nonsense you can plus moar... This card though is best used as a 1-2 of unless the deck is built
to abuse it like my Majoleine Forse deck.

NEXT CARD:
Necronomicon Book of Magic
Equip Spell Card
Activate only by removing from play 1 Spellcaster-Type Monster in your Graveyard and Revealing an other "Book of Magic" Magic Card in your hand to your opponent. Select 1 Spellcaster-Type Monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position, and equip this card to it. Also, the Level of the equipped Monster is increased by the Level of the Spellcaster-Type monster that was removed from play for the activation of this card. Only 1 "Necronomicon Book of Magic" can be activated per turn.

REVIEW: We have went over this card many many many times... Fortune Ladies... Dark Magician... Gagaga Magician... Temper.... Junon... I've reviewed this card so many times it hurts... I'm sorry but not again never ever again shall this be reviewed lol. I reviewed it without even meaning to so many times lol because I got really impatient with the trickle of information. Well regardless abuse this card from now on in any Spellcaster deck ever to exist from now on please. Good luck with that though..

FINAL CARD:
Torah Book of Magic
Quick-Play Spell Card
Activate by selecting 1 Spellcaster-Type Monster on the field and 1 of the following effects: ● During this turn the selected monster is unaffected by the effects of other Magic Cards. ● During this turn the selected monster is unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards.

REVIEW: Nice card lets me protect any of my Spellcasters from any 1 specific threat normally depending on whose turn it is and I can do such things in response to activations while simultaneously adding Spell Counters or letting Temper activate... This card can protect Junon from chained removal to her effect. It can protect even Magi Magi Magician Gal from being harmed by such nonsense... Hell Madolce Majoleine even begins to give 0 fucks about your deck much like Puddingcess. Dark Magician gets to survive any attempts at being smart. This card being searchable is just icing on the cake. It's a Pandemic Infection Infestation for Spellcasters just not as broken. I can see this card getting use in the months to come as Spellcasters slowly begin to crop up as a truly good deck for the first time in so long. Hell this is the first time an actual Fortune Lady deck could actually abuse itself without using Fortune Lady Light and her bad timing.

I'm happy to have finished the 6th review... tomorrow I'll be reviewing the last 5 Spell Cards and the first 5 Trap cards... starting with Madolce Chateau and ending with Madolce Manner. More cuteness... The next day after that I'll do the last 10 traps starting with Madolce Waltz and ending with Lucky Punch. Wish me luck guys and thanks for viewing and spending time out of your day to visit.
