Genex Cycle OTK

So while browsing for something to post I ran across a friend who shared their Genex OTK with me. There won't be a read more for this as it's gonna be a short post. Essentially you use Genex Power Planner and Genex Ally Birdman to get all your synchro materials on the field. And depending on the situation at hand you can make any kind of 8000+ damage field with minimal hand support and win from there. Only problem that I didn't say was Ultimate Offering which was needed for the deck to seriously work. Without Ultimate Offering the deck sorta sits there idle until it dies. Heres the original build by Larainge http://ultraduelacademy.forumotion.com/t471-genex-cycle-otk
Also listed there is the entire OTK in it's entirety. It's been updated recently to include Xyz summons and no longer desperately needs the Undine's and Controllers to work. As we have more choices for summons now we can put out 8000 damage really easily. So the deck is far more streamlined and actually runs real trap cards to protect itself now. I may actually not run anything I normally run and switch over to Hero Beat for the YCS in the event I still go depending on my financial situation.

I'm not going to tell you all any more on the OTK possibilities because it's not my idea to do that with nor is it something I want yall to senselessly copy and fail with. Best to build your own version that suits you.

Iron Call

So you may all be wondering once again... Why in the world am I reviewing this card. It's uses are so obvious it isn't funny. I'm reviewing it once again because I want to review it. This card can quite easily make Card Trooper quite a good card, first off it lets you pay the cost for Card Trooper's mill and in the End Phase destroys the Trooper netting you a draw 1, making it not a minus in the End Phase. Does anyone remember Morphtronic's favorite way of OTKing? Junk Box? This card is Junk Box except it negates the effect but for any Level 4 or lower Machine in the game as long as you control a Machine. So without further ado press Read More for the Full Review.

Tinplate Goldfish

This card from the recent DT14 is quite an interesting piece of cardboard. First and foremost this card's art is so hilariously dumb that it's actually good lol. Make sure to press Read More for the full review and how I've thought about using this card in a Water Xyz deck. It actually works...

No.50 Black Corn

Update: Stats are confirmed 2100/ 1500
UPDATE 2: Image is now in color!!!!
UPDATE 3: Wikia has it listed as being able to use it's effect more than once per turn. I'll leave the effect the way Shriek had it though until further notice as Wikia isn't fully trustworthy.

Image is still in Black and White as it's going to be the Manga promo for the next Zexal Volume. This card in my opinion is going to go in to any deck that summons Rank 4 Xyz as utility along with Daigusto Emeral and Lavalval Chain but with a far better use... I like this card such a dumb amount just because of the name and it being a Plant and Dark... yum Verz Mandrago can have some fun.
Press "Read More" for the full review of this new Xyz monster.

State of the Blog Address

Today marks a landmark achievement for Yami no Duel and i'm quite amazed at the reception of over 400+ views today. The highest before now was 1000+ for 2 days when I hosted the Rom for the Over the Nexus.

Since then we've been through ups and downs but recently I've put measures in place in order to ascertain what you want to see posted. I consulted with my cabinet of fellow bloggers and learned some new tricks like scheduling. I've been quite active this month and have made over 20 decks this month alone.

Now though we are moving on to stable but yet uncharted territory in the reviewing of cards. I assure you my viewers that these reviews in the coming weeks will be quite comprehensive in relation to the complexity of the card.

This month i'll be doing a full set review of Galactic Overload and many of the promo's released recently and within this coming month. In March I'll go back to deck-building as the new format looms.

Thank you my viewers for reading this blog everyday and putting up with my past failures to provide support. I like followers but even more than that I like comments. The more information you guys give me on what you think of things or want the more I can return to you in the form of information. I won first place at my DECA Regional in the Business Services Marketting Series and am going on to State in Feburary. I am not expecting a win but I am expecting to do relatively well. If by a miracle I do win I get to go to Nationals.

Sacred Boost

Sacreds got a huge boost from the recent DT14 (I think it was 14). Essentially allowing them to plus daily without much fear. They also received a nice boost from Photon Sanctuary (This card allows every LIGHT deck to summon Kristya/LADD/Photon Wyvern easily (Will probably be reviewed next month but I'm gonna speed up that clock a little and have next month of posts start the day after tomorrow)

Without Further Ado press Read More to see tha deck.

Really short update post

I've decided on a Synchro variant i think ill like. BTW Macro Cosmos if timed right can save Vanity's Emptiness.  BTW Gadgets don't care about banishing... Nor does Anti-Meta... so Anti-Meta Macro Gadget was born. I'll have a post on that at a later date.

Egyptian Xyz Batman!!! (Holy Marks)

UPDATE: I view the new text as a lie due to Geb stating Holy Mark Normal Monster and Normal Dragon separately on it's own card. Also there is only 1 Normal Dragon with 0/0 and that's the Holy Mark Normal Monster there'd be no point in the distinction as any other monster they could summon would also be a Holy Mark with 0/0.

A far better version of my previous build
This build maximizes the potential for good hands... by statistically speaking... I have 2x Isis, 2x Geb and 3x Tefnut meaning 7 tribute fodder Holy Marks... I have 3 Shu and 1 Nephthys and 3 Gathering meaning 7 tribute Holy Marks... and Gathering could also mean 10 tribute fodder depending on draws...

EDIT: Shortening front page please click Read More to see the rest. In exchange the comboes are moved up here

YCS Atlanta is coming up

In Light of that I'm trying to get my deck ready... Right now I'm running a budget Synchrocentric Build (no Maxx "C" no Rai-oh no Tour Guide) I could though run Anti-Meta Macro Gadgets or Watts with a small investment in each...

Synchrocentric Budget Beats is the most explosive and dangerous deck I have...
Anti-Meta Macro Gadgets is a ton slower than Synchrocentric but it mains ways to completely block out Wind-up's and Inzektors along with Synchrocentric and Rabbit builds.
Watts though aren't as slow as the Gadgets but are also the most stable deck I have just that they have a very bad match-up with Inzektors. (Wind-ups not so much).

I could also build Gravekeepers or Dark Worlds or Agents. all of which on a budget but mostly finished.

I'd like some input from you all on which I should use. This won't be made into a poll because I want reasons and explanations for which is better to run. (I'd do T.G. but I don't have enough Horns and am 1 Rhino and 3 Striker short).

I do not own any Rai-oh and need 2 minimum to make the Synchrocentric deck better or the Watts playable. or to build Chaos.

Fun Heiroglyph Blue-Eyes/Red-Eyes deck

UPDATE: Shortening Front Page so click read more to see the decklist.
So Heiroglyph's on Egyptian God's... that can summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon for free and then OTK?!?!??
Have you ever summoned 3x Red-Eyes in one turn and made Lucky Stripe? Have you ever thought about triple Blue-eyes for Neo Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon? Have you ever seen 3x REDMD at the same time... use one to summon out more crap... overlay for Gustaph use the other for more crap... yum?

Holy Marked Dragons

This is a deck based on the new Holy Marked cards in Galactic Overload. They are all quite interesting I won't give the effects or the extra deck today but next month when the set is released expect a nice review. Tomorrow though I'll have a new Disaster Dragon build thanks to a new card from this archetype... it may possibly revolutionize Dragons for a long time... Preview: Overlay for 6>REDMD>?>?>? is what may be happening without future fusion. If it wasn't for a friend on DN I earned from joining a team I'd still be in a real rut. thanks to "!         $     !" I can now continue blogging.

UPDATE: Click Read More for the Deck and other related info. Shortening the front page in anticipation for far bigger posts next month due to the new set coming out

Starlight Road as Tech?!?!?!?

Ya see people normally regard cards like Starlight Road as being only useful in decks that set a lot. I've actually activated Starlight Road more against Dark Hole, Mirror Force, and Torrential Tribute than I have used it against Heavy Storm.

BTW on an unrelated note: Wind-up's are really good now only problem is dat veiler. but all decks have that problem so oh well... Meaning that if you don't run Veiler and Maxx "c" you are probably not going to do well at YCS Atlanta (The first tourney with legal Inzektors and Wind-up's.

No new deck or strategy today

Sorry guys I just ran out of decks to build that are as playable as the other ones I've previously built... Expect a deck or something tomorrow but ugh I just don't have anything for you guys today. I've worked on it for 4 hours and still have nothing new... best I can say is I had some nice duels today but I really have nothing right now my idea well sorta ran dry. Gimme a day to recuperate and i'll have something for you.

Break from Decks!!! Good Side deck choices!!!

So I was playing DN and got bodied multiple times by Inzektors whether I was running Wind-up, Inzektors, Anti-Meta or Watts... so I thought about it and was like Inzektors like D.Fissure but hate Macro Cosmos... Wind-up's hate both... Tengu hates both... Agents hate both... So there ya have it... If you aren't using any of the above decks you can try side decking Dimensional Fissure and Macro Cosmos in tandem (Inzektors will be very popular at the YCS ATL and so will Wind-up Loop)

Next, we have Vanity's Emptiness as you have all read about countless times from Ryu Kuze's blog this card is quite good. I played against Sams last format with it and they were stuck for the whole duel unable to get over Kinetic Soldier nor special summon. It can quite possibly stop Wind-up Loop dead... (Note: Tour Guide and Wind-up Shark in hand together is a 2 card loop that I am now including in my TCG Wind-up Build (It now wrecks face)).

Next, we have the dynamic duo Maxx "C" and Effect Veiler (First off you should be maining one of these or both in duplicate) but in the side deck they are also quite effective if you need to side in an extra of each.

Next, we have D.D. Crow, with the advent of Inzektors and Wind-up's a single Crow can end the loop just as fast as Veiler can but with better results. Crow though would have to remain side decked and shouldn't be mained unless you have a homebrew build in which case do what you want.

Next, we have Mind Crush, this card used to be quite a good choice in the beginning of the format with Trap Dustshoot now though it's quite great. Many many decks are now very very predictable like Wind-up and Inzektors... if your opponent dumps a Hornet to grave assume they have a Dragonfly in hand and crush it. If your opponent summons Wind-up Magician and they use Shark chain it... drop Shark to grave... their turn ends... It also stops Battle Fader from the hand. It also is great against Agents as you can stop Venus or Hyperion before they happen. Looking at the opponents hand has never been so useful now too. If you know your opponent has Veiler and you have a good monster in hand... bait the Veiler with something that seems like a threat and then next turn drop the major threat.

Next, we have Dust Tornado, you'd think with 3 MST this'd be useless but against a Trap Heavy deck the extra backrow removal can be indispensable (I'd know I run 17 Traps in my Watts).

Finally, we have a newer card, Royal Decree (did I say new? I meant really really old). If you run a deck like Inzektors or Wind-ups or anything that can be quite randomly explosive a single well timed Decree can shut down the opponents side deck choices for the most part. Decree will stop that ignorant Shadow Imprisoning Mirror so you can Hornet it away. Decree will stop every Trap I have listed if timed right. Also if you are running something slow and your opponent sides Game 2 you can quite easily side in cards that only make your deck faster and then put in Decree and take out da Traps... your opponents sided in S/T hate will go to waste on your S/T less deck and that slight loss in consistency or speed they took coupled with the consistency and speed you gained is quite shocking... so Game 2 if they side deck make sure to side back into the S/T version and troll as hard as you can.

That was da first Strategy post I think lol. Wind-up's are a scary deck and so are Inzektors hence maining 2 Maxx "c" and 2 Veiler... side deck 1 more of each.

TCG Wind-ups post ORCS Legal Date

So we all know the Wind-up Loop. Do we all know that Wind-up's can access the loop without main decking Gilasaurus or Marauding Captain and such? In exchange for adding in 1 extra card to start the loop we gain more utility. I'm saying you could do Activate Factory... Summon Magician Special Shark... thats a 3 card combo instead of the 2 card combo's from before. Magician's effect to get Hunter... Factory searches another Shark... Overlay for Zenmaity and Special the new Shark... detach Hunter for Rat... Use Rat for Hunter... Hunter tribute Zenmaity... Rat and Hunter overlay for Zenmaity... detach Hunter for another Rat... Use Rat for Hunter... who tributes Zenmaity then ya make with Shark and Hunter Zenmaity who detaches Hunter one last time for Rat... who gets back Hunter... Hunter tributes Zenmaity... Hunter and Rat overlay for Zenmaines... turn end. You went from 6 cards in hand to 4 cards in hand but you have 2 cards on field... so in net advantage you lost nothing unless they Maxx "c" in which case stop unless they run no Veilers... (In which case you'd try to get as many specials in as possible lol.)

Interplanetarypurplythorny Chaos

This is just an adaptation of a chaos zone deck while throwing in Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon which is in my opinion a really really good card... Ram'd a Leviair into a Kizan and dropped it for a 2200 swing... they later killed it and I dropped another one... The point of this deck though is to toolbox my RFG'd cards... I can re-use Battle Fader a total of 5 times... while running 3 of them.... if I banish anything for Chaos I can recycle it... if Chaos Zone gets a single counter it can search Fader if my opponent destroys it. so it's a very defensive deck. Purplythorny is a really nice tech in Gadgets... It's essentially Tragoedia 3-4-5 that also works for destruction effects... maining it with smashing grounds is quite nice. Depending on whether the end result of the poll says Meta or Non-Meta will decide the next kind of Interplanetarypurplythorny Variant to be blogged...

Junk OTK 3.0 Yep there have been so many

Sorry for the lateness of this post I just woke up at 8 PM and had a mid-deck crisis and thought my deck was terrible then I just murdered Wind-up Loop with it so i'm happy. (Maxx "C" and Veiler run 3 of them sided lol)

Monsters: 25
2x Junk Synchron
3x Quickdraw Synchron
2x Doppelwarrior
2x Level Eater
1x Spore
1x Glow-up Bulb
1x Dandylion
2x Effect Veiler
1x Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
3x Evil Thorn
1x Sangan
1x Lonefire Blossom
1x Gorz, The Emissary of Darkness
2x Tragoedia
2x Maxx "C"

Spells: 17
1x Allure of Darkness
2x Mark of the Rose
1x Reinforcement of the Army
3x Tuning
1x Pot of Avarice
1x Dark Hole
1x Heavy Storm
1x Monster Reborn
1x One for One
2x Super Solar Nutrient
1x Foolish Burial
2x Mystical Space Typhoon

Extra:
15 Synchros you can actually summon like them writers for Konami said "It doesn't matter what you Synchro Summon as long as you Synchro Summon"

I've been working on this build for a few hours because of constant bad builds. This also if you all notice is the closest to my original build in structure but runs Trag... Gorz... and Maxx "C" because those draws can create  OTK's on their own and give me the protection to actually carry them out.

Neo-Spacians

Merchantless build because in testing I never got to use my Merchants... sad face... but it's quite explosive sometimes and very fast. Ya see Tengu and Tour Guide just make it that much better my god the sheer reliability is so scary... But of course testing was marred by the fact that on DN when you say "testing" they of course use Macro or Anti-Meta every single time... or are so noobish that it's like playing by yourself... (Unrated of course making it sorta pointless) Well I'll be sure to give this proper testing when I figure out how to run it better... But it ran quite smoothly... I also never got to use Cross Porter or Junk Synchron to any true effect so just dropped them a second ago in favor of dropping one Convert Contact because it's dead a lot... So added in a third C-Sorc and Dust Crush Crush..

Monsters: 25
3x Neo-Spacian Dark Panther
3x Neo-Spacian Glow Moss
1x Neo-Spacian Grand Mole
3x Tour Guide from the Underworld
1x Sangan
3x Reborn Tengu
1x Glow-up Bulb
1x Spore
1x Dandylion
1x Lonefire Blossom
1x Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
2x Chaos Sorcerer
1x Debris Dragon
2x Effect Veiler

Spells: 12
2x Convert Contact
1x Allure of Darkness
3x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Heavy Storm
1x Dark Hole
1x Monster Reborn
1x One for One
1x Pot of Avarice
1x Foolish Burial

Traps: 3
1x Trap Dustshoot
2x Mind Crush

Well the deck is reminiscent of Rauze's Junk and Debris deck. I'll be having a new post tomorrow too so be sure to check back again. Though I do not yet know what deck I'll be building maybe something really fun depends.

Continuing the Merchant Series... Merchant Chaos

So ya see Merchant is quite better than I thought... recently this happened... Played Tour Guide and got Sangan... set MST and ended... They ran over Sangan with Spear Dragon (twas a noob). searched Merchant... My turn.. draws a card sets Merchant... swings over spear... (They can't play anything on their turn)... my turn top decks into One for One... Flips Merchant and mills Glow-up Bulb and Black Luster Soldier for a MST... brings back glow-up and syncs for formula with merchant... at 8 cards in hand.... Monster Reborn on Sangan... syncs with Tour Guide and Formula for Stardust... searches out dandylion... plays one for one dropping Dandy for Veiler... syncs for Catastor... Field was Stardust, Catastor, Dandy Token, Set MST... with a 6 card hand... (I drew nuts though ... Heavy, Dark Hole, Monster Reborn, MST turn 1 is evil)

Monsters 26
3x Magical Merchant
2x Thunder King Rai-oh
2x Effect Veiler
2x Tragoedia
1x Gorz, the Emissary of Darkness
2x Cross Porter
2x Neo-Spacian Glow Moss
1x Neo-Spacian Dark Panther
1x Dandylion
1x Glow-up Bulb
1x Junk Synchron
1x Debris Dragon
1x Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
2x Chaos Sorcerer
1x Sangan
3x Tour Guide from the Underworld

Spells: 11
3x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Dark Hole
1x Monster Reborn
1x Heavy Storm
1x One for One
1x Pot of Avarice
2x Creature Swap
1x NEX

Traps: 3
1x Trap Dustshoot
2x Mind Crush

Well the deck made sense to me so what about a Neo-Spacian deck that can utilize these comboes to the fullest? That may quite well be the next post on here depends on how I feel about my build. The poll is quite um wow yall are quite persistent I seriously hope I won't have to randomly assign my own vote...

Merchant SearchTK

Yep Merchant has more uses outside of OTK's and crap. If you think about Merchant correctly it's a dekoichi that can also mill... but it will never mill anything you can't retrieve. It's a nice little tech card try it instead of Ryko and see how far you can go in a Junk Doppel build or something. I though have put it in Lavals just to see what would happen... it's quite a tame and safe build so it's good for testing Merchant plays... Note: If Merchant mills a single Tender (after of course having a laval in grave first) it's the same as activating Sweltering Heat Transmission Field.

I've tried it in Cross Porter Turbo and it worked quite nice. It's more a fun idea than anything but it can have competitive uses.
Monsters: 18
3x Magical Merchant
3x Laval Lady of the Burning Lake
3x Tender of the Laval Volcano
2x Laval Forest Sprite
2x Laval Magma Cannoneer
2x Laval Lancelord
3x Flamvell Firedog

Spells: 12
1x Pot of Avarice
1x Dark Hole
3x Sweltering Heat Transmission Field
3x Rekindling
1x Gold Sarcophagus
1x Heavy Storm
1x Monster Reborn
1x Foolish Burial

Traps: 10
1x Solemn Judgment
2x Solemn Warning
1x Mirror Force
1x Torrential Tribute
2x Blazing Dust Explosion
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
1x Return from the Different Dimension

Deck works quite well mostly due to Laval's just working well as is but also due to Merchant making access to my spells and traps easier and Merchant is also a free draw at it's worst and at it's best a set up. It's a nice idea I believe and it deserves some research for this format.

Eh_Chavo's Evol's

Well Ptolemy M7 is in the extra as it creates free wins. Fissure is here because I needed a way to slow down things like LS or Tengu and such. The poll is looking quite well um interesting. This build has done relatively well but it can be made much better. Thanks Eh_Chavo for working so hard to finish that decklist.

So Sorry I forgot to list Granel in the decklist. Yes there is a Granel if you look at tha picture

Magi Magi Gal!!

For some reason I wanted to build a deck around this card even though it's completely not meant to be beastly. But it did make someone rage quit took his Dark Horus from grave lawl. It's also a lot easier to summon than we all think. Mystic Tomato>Mind on Air>Gagaga Magician> Magi Magi Gal... or Summoner Monk>Gagaga Magician>Resonance Device> Magi Magi Gal... Gagaga Magician>Chaos Sorcerer> Magi Magi Gal... Chaos Sorcerer swings>Magician Circle> Mind on Air... Magi Magi Gal... It's not that it's hard to make it's that you have to make it so that you have a card in hand to use the effect with... A Single unstopped summon of her though can easily be gg depending on the progress of the duel to that point.

Anyway here's the picture of the deck and personally I love this deck when I play unrated. I'll be starting a new poll now about whether you all would like Meta style builds or Fun style builds (Meta style: A deck that is meant to either become Meta or beat said Meta, Fun style: a Deck that is meant to have interesting and fun interactions and comboes but isn't meant to actually win major tournaments and such...

Monsters: 21
2x Gagaga Girl
 3x Gagaga Magician
 3x Chaos Sorcerer
 2x Effect Veiler
2x Mind on Air

Wattage Beatdown

Alright if anyone remembers from my first ever post on here I made a Vylon and Watts double post. This time though I separated them by a few days. This build so far is 6-0 on DN not including matches in which that number goes up a bit. The addition of Wave-Motion Cannon and Magical Cylinder is purely for fun and can be replaced by 2-3x Pot of Duality and 1-2 Recycling Battery or 1-2 Mystical Space Typhoon. It's a very viable build though and it did quite well against Six Shinai while under Royal Decree (Six Sams with Shinai loop). A few of the duels were won purely by Trishula which is actually hard to make. I didn't Xyz once but I had many opportunities too. Magical Cylinder though added in extra damage to shorten the amount of turns it would take to win... At best the deck takes 4 turns to win without any extra damage. (Turn 1 Wattcobra swings for giraffe, Turn 2 both swing for 2200 for cobra, Turn 3 all three swing for 3200, Turn 4 gg)

But eh it's a great build if I do say so myself lol. Side deck though I haven't worked on yet. Also Forbidden Lance works well in the build too.

Monsters: 17
3x Wattgiraffe
3x Wattcobra
3x Wattdragonfly
2x Watt Pheasant
3x Thunder King Rai-Oh
1x Honest
2x Effect Veiler

Spells: 6
1x Monster Reborn
1x Dark Hole
2x Smashing Ground

Traps 17:
2x Solemn Warning
1x Solemn Judgment
2x Wattcancel
1x Mirror Force
1x Torrential Tribute
2x Dimensional Prison
2x Starlight Road
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
2x Magic Cylinder
2x Lumenize

The sheer amount of damage this deck does to an opponent psyche is hilarious. Getting hit by Wattcobra guarantee's 3 more turns of direct attacks. Letting a Wave-Motion sit there through those turns is GG. Random Cylinder to negate BLS after a Solemn Judgment means any Watt can swing for game. Cylinder just acts as an extra Lumenize and Honest. I am wondering if Triple Road would be good here with the 17 Traps.. but eh. I'm still looking for that OP deck to top the Vylon Combo but it's not easy lol. If you have any ideas please hit me with em.

Sea Launcher TCG OCG mating

You may be wondering about this new Sea Lancer deck that people are talking about occasionally. Personally speaking the deck is pretty terrible by today's standards but some new ideas and card choices can make the deck quite good. Anyone remember Fishborg Launcher... Water's new Level 1 tuner that can be a no-cost plaguespreader once per turn but banishes itself and can only Synch for Water and only can be summoned that way with only Water in grave. That's what makes this deck fun for me as it is a pure Water deck. If you were wondering I also have a build for you.

Before the Build though some nice little comboes... Drop Fishborg for Swap Frog... put Ronintoadin in grave... Sac Swap Frog for Salvage Warrior who brings back Fishborg and now you can synchro summon Dewloren or Brionac or make Dewloren and bring back Fishborg again... make Gungnir lawl.

Same as above but instead of sacking Swap Frog revive Fishborg and sac it for Sea Lancer. Who happily equips it while you safely return Swap Frog to your hand and have whatever Aqua Level 2 or lower you want in grave... If I can find more applications for Swap Frog that aren't frog related would be interesting will look later. The deck can troll quite well though. If you were wondering I have a build too lol.

I hope you all are liking the new style of Yami no Duel. If someone would like to tutor me in making banners for the site I would love that because I'm not very good with Paint.NET just look at the banner now it's not all that fitting right now. And isn't quite pretty really. So please comment with tips on how to better da banner.

Plants are quite fun

I don't get to use the full deck often but it has some nice plays... It incorporates some of Plants signature cards like Tytannial, Lord Poison, Naturia Cherries and the useful Verz Mandrago the rest is parts of Synchrocentric like Tour Guides and Rai-oh in order to make the deck able to compete better as those cards have great synergy with plants in general. Cherries if they die can be an extra glow-up for your tengu or other synchro plays which is nice. I was thinking of Enemy Controller but went for Mark of the Rose instead. The deck works quite well from what i've tested. Essentially this is Tengu Plants with more focus on plants and it's really useful. Mark of The Rose is great with Tour Guide... Mark take an opponents level 3... Banish Dandy... summon Tour Guide make LEviair bring back Dandy Overlay for Zenmaines or Leviathan Dragon.

Monsters: 24
2x Lord Poison
3x Reborn Tengu
3x Tour Guide from the Underworld
1x Sangan
2x Effect Veiler
1x Lonefire Blossom
 1x Dandylion
1x Glow-up Bulb
1x Spore
 1x Tytannial, Princess of Camellias
 2x Verz Mandrago
1x Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
 3x Naturia Cherries
2x Thunder King Rai-oh

 Spells: 11
 1x Monster Reborn
 1x Pot of Avarice
 1x Dark Hole
 2x Mark of the Rose
1x One for One
 1x Foolish Burial
3x Mystical Space Typhoon
 1x Heavy Storm

Traps: 5
 1x Solemn Judgment
 2x Solemn Warning
 1x Mirror Force
 1x Torrential Tribute

You guys are running out of time to vote and right now Decks and Strategies has a commanding lead. Of course if Decks and Strategies wins this month then next month will be mostly Card Reviews (Galactic Overlord) I'm sorta hyped now for the Holy Carved monsters.

Vylon OTK

So did anyone notice Rod of Slience Kay'est... How it negates the effect of a Spell Card Targeting the equipped monster... It doesn't negate the activation... It lets the card hit the field... Remember how Vylon Equip Spell cards cannot miss their timing... and how Vylon Element won't miss timing due to Vylon's Equip Spell cards searching due to the "If" clause meaning it waits until it gets a chance to go on da chain.

Think of it like this Normal Summon Vylon anything... Play Kay'est on it... Play any Vylon equip on it... and search Vylon Element play da Element and then any other equip on dat same Vylon. Due to that interaction you now get to search another Equip Spell can get to Special Summon any Vylon tuner from your deck... we have Vylon tuners for every level from 1-4. and we have 2 different Level 3 ones meaning... Sample End Game field at it's best (if you used a level 3 tuner for the equip)... Shock Ruler, 3x Giga-Brilliant... Summon Shock Ruler first so you have room... then drop 2 Level 3 ones and make Giga-Brilliant... Then drop 2 more Level 3 ones and make another Brilliant... then you drop 1 more Level 3 and make a third Giga-Brilliant with the one equipped with Kay'est... Use all 3 Brilliants for a 900 boost to your entire field... swing for game... If you started with a Level 4 Vylon... You'd instead make 3 Sacred Hyades and then with the last avaliable space get another Vylon Prism (the level 4) and make Sacred Omega... 1900+1900+1900+2400 is GG for 8100 damage lol.  In the event you start with the level 2 one... it gets a bit harder to win with... First you make   3x Giga-Brilliant... then you make Gantetsu in defense mode... 3100+3100+3100... If you started with Vylon Vanguard...  then you can do whichever play you want... Decklist after the read more.

Gemknights the Build

Throughout testing the deck has done surprisingly well even with DN being an evil person. Prism-Aura has nice tricks with Gem-Knight Fusion. Sanyx's second summon is very nice but hard to get a chance to do. The Main point of this build is that every monster can be used in a Fusion Summon... Turtle is there to search the Fusion spell which is needed for the comboes. Future Fusion sets-up Lazuli and Obsidian plays if I can get it. I wish it had more utility though. Anyway I've been working on the blog as you have noticed. I made Pages and am quite proud of the Decklist Page I'm working on. I'm learning more about blogger as I go so I will be trying out new things as I use it. Press the Read More button in order to see the deck list as I'm trying to keep the front page a bit more tidy.

New Slate for Yami no Duel BTW Gemknight...

Alright everyone, I know for a fact you are all tired of my whining so that's never going to happen again. I also am privy to information that you all seem to like when I don't miss days of posts. So I've found a way that even if I can't be around to post I can still post something everyday. Oh and the poll will continue on until well it ends. right now Decks and Strategy is in the lead by one over Card Reviews. So NEW YEARS RESOLUTION!!! No More Whining!!!! I'm far too old to whine like a child who doesn't get their way.

On to actual information Gemknight's have just become extremely scary... a single Gem-Knight Fusion can become a plus 2.

Here are some sample plays:
Gem-Knight Lazuli + Gem-Knight Obsidian = Gem-Knight Zirconia and 1 Normal Monster (Gemini) to hand and 1 on field... assuming you had a grave... meaning Future Fusion...

Gem-Knight Lazuli + Alius = Gem-Knight Seraphi Lazuli puts Alius to hand...  Seraphi lets you summon it back out... but eh that's a cool idea I guess.

The main idea is Gem-Knights now can recoup the advantage lost via their Fusion Summons quite easily now.

Future Fusion can fill the grave with targets for Lazuli and Obsidian. Not to mention Gem-Knight Fusion gets recylced... if you have Lazuli, Obsidian and Gem-Knight Fusion you are pretty much set up for GG... But just one of those and any other Gem-Knight with the fusion and you can already do a semi-loop. both and you can loop twice... after a fusion fusion you actually win the game... 2 Prism-Aura can nearly nuke the field on their own. Zirconia is such a big beater than it can run over most anything.

Anyway I'll have a deck for these guys tomorrow

Horakhty and a Poll

This deck isn't meant to summon Horakhty fast or anything... It just summons God Cards relatively often and is often how it wins... Horakhty is just a possibility...

Monsters: 28
1x Obelisk the Tormentor
1x Slifer the Sky Dragon
1x Winged Dragon of Ra
1x The Creator God of Light - Horakhty
3x Light and Darkness Dragon
3x Gravekeeper's Spy
1x Gravekeeper's Guard
3x Hardened Armed Dragon
3x Tour Guide from the Underworld
1x Glow-up Bulb
1x Sangan
2x Ronintoadin
2x Treeborn Frog
2x Dupe Frog
3x Swap Frog

Spells: 10
1x Allure of Darkness
3x Gold Sarcophagus
1x Foolish Burial
3x Enemy Controller
1x One for One
1x Monster Reborn

Traps: 2
2x Call of the Haunted

Well the deck's main strategy is drop a God Card supported by Hardened Armed Dragon as fast as possible and take control of the duel. As for the most part this deck is on the defensive. meaning Gantetsu and Zenmaines are very good cards here lol.

I'm wondering you guys... What would you rather see me post this month? Decks and Strategy or Card Reviews? The Poll will be on the side bar above the Blog Roll
