HOLY Xyz!!! Rabbitman

EDIT: I formatted my External Hard Drive from NTFS to exFAT... problem is... I didn't have room to save the files so I thought that if I simply copied them I'd be able to place them back in after the format... I was wrong... If someone has any way I can get back my files please tell me...

Alright so Normal Monsters just go their own Rescue Cat...
Rescue Rabbit looks like an epic Rabbit that is going on an adventure... First off this little Rabbit just made Normal Monsters epic for Xyz.

Rescue Rabbit
Earth
Level 4
Beast/Effect
This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. Banish this face-up card you control: Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters from your Deck with the same name. A monster Special Summoned by this effect is destroyed during the End Phase. The effect of "Rescue Rabbit" can only be activated once per turn.
300/100

Alright so you all saw this at some point today... This card is hilarious it summon 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters from your deck at the cost of banishing it... The very last line on this card made it not complete Godlike... So this means no D.D.R shenanigans on the same turn... But this card just made Normal Monster Xyz so much better... This is a turn 1 instant Xyz Summon that can be Special Summoned anywhere but from the deck... Meaning Earth Shenanigans as well... The card is ridiculous... and it can Do any Xyz Rank from 1-4... In the right deck it's great and I'll be playing around with it on DN when it comes out.

Hmm Junk OTK!?!?

So yeah ever seen a Junk deck that summons Shooting Quasar almost every duel... (Note the OTK is Quasar hitting twice plus any other synchro to clear the way lol) So far it's only lost once I think assuming it actually lost... (these were all unrated so take the results with a grain of salt (Problem is no one on rated wants to play against anything non-TCG))

Here's the build:
Monsters: 24
3x Junk Synchron
3x Evil Thorn
2x Lonefire Blossom
2x Doppelwarrior
2x Quickdraw Synchron
2x Glow-up Bulb
2x Effect Veiler

Deck is still Broken

I edited the deck I dubbed Broken!!! and It got more rediculous... I feel like calling it Blasphemy lol.
EDIT: I just saw the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 TV Trailer (The 30 second or so Trailer on TV lol) It was ridiculous... I saw a Giant running forth to war!!! It was awesome.

Monsters: 25
2x Lonefire Blossom
2x Debris Dragon
1x Dandylion
1x Spore
1x Glow-up Bulb
3x The Agent of Mystery - Earth
2x The Agent of Creation - Venus

2x Limit Reverse
1x Call of the Haunted
1x Miraculous Descent

Extra: Whatever you can summon lol which is damn near anything Generic or Light or T.G. or Dragon or Plant or Spellcaster (Librarian and Wonder Magician)

Deck is just ignorant of what a deck should be... This is a mix of 4-5 random engines... I'll do this a few more times with random stuff later this week.

Tinkering with Morphtronics...

So I've been working on a Morphtronic build because I was bored... And It after playing 3 games against random decks seems to be working really well... It only lost once because of a Top decked JD... (Didn't test more than 3 because I made tomorrow's post subject almost immediately afterwards lol) I'm gonna have to ask you to read more because I don't want to clutter the front page with a long decklist.

I don't think the few top 32 agent builds at Providence were quite correct

The thing is a few blogs here and there are saying Agents won't be good until Xyz come out and are saying from their experience that they aren't consistent... A standard professional at Yugioh normally has the triple Duality and double Warning and double Kristya and single Trishula.

Does anyone understand that the deck came out just a little over or under a week before providence... Not everyone copies the OCG decklists and nor does anyone know that the OCG decklist isn't built for our Meta... OCG top decks are Six Samurai, Junk Doppel Debris, Blackwing, and Agents. There are other decks that win often but those are the ones that are most prevalent (Though with Xyz I've seen an increase in Gadget based decks on Shriek.) I've created a build that solves most problems and personally main-decks outs to the main side-decked threats against the deck with rather nice synergy. Read More for More Information and the Build.

Hmm is this broken?

Well I was playing around on DN and decided to make a deck called Broken!... long story short I built a Plant Agent Hybrid of death lol.

Monsters: 24
2x Lonefire Blossom
2x Debris Dragon
1x Glow-up Bulb
1x Dandylion
1x Spore
3x The Agent of Creation - Venus
3x The Agent of Mystery - Earth
3x Master Hyperion
3x Mystical Shine Ball
3x Reborn Tengu
2x Ally Genex Birdman

Spells: 11
1x Monster Reborn
2x Cards from the Sky
2x Pot of Avarice
1x Dark Hole
2x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Giant Trunade
1x One for One
1x Foolish Burial

Traps: 5
1x Trap Stun
1x Call of the Haunted
2x Limit Reverse
1x Miraculous Descent

Extra: Up to you as you can summon most anything

So yeah this is just a rediculous idea I came up with I tested it twice and one time I misplayed and lost (First time using it) Second time I destroyed with Stardust, Brionac, and Hyperion... (Turn 2 Trish as well)

Something I've noticed recently

The competitive scene is probably going to change rapidly now and there are a couple root causes of the sudden shifts coming up. The Main Cause is the sheer uselessness of Backrow versus Tengu sans Solemn Warning... and the Newest Cause is Agents... A deck that mains 2 Kristya and can do nearly anything with nearly equal consistency of Six Samurai... In July (Late July) we will receive Xyz. Which will cause another shift thanks to the focus on a more useful Extra Deck (Meaning little to no room for much else sans the necessities.) Read More for the Article

Agent Angels My First Build

Alrighty then, I've finally received all 3 of my Lost Sanctuary Structure Decks in the mail and have built my Budget Agent Angel deck (In other words BAA (or in other words Sheep))

The deck has no Kristya and no Pot of Duality and definitely no Solemn Warning but it is effective. I am trying to get it down to the point where it is more consistent without using Duality... (Kristya is going to be a necessity unless Photon Shockwave comes out before GENF lol)

Dark World DN Report and Decklists

I'm going to build a few different Dark World builds and test all of them for 5 random duels on DN each. This post will be updated later tonight possibly at around 9 PM EST or so depends on how many builds. I'll post their records and what decks they played against. I won't fit them all into this post though. I'll do the winner's results this post and the rest on other posts later this week. (Read more for the Update!!)

Overview of recent DN duels

Alright click Read More if you want to see the overview of the duels I remember lol (They might run together a little). I hope you'll somewhat like the things I learned lol.
EDIT: Someone just told me they could Monster Reborn my Brionac if said Brionac was negated... Does anyone remember Stardust and Starlight Road... If it wasn't summoned correctly then it can't be Special Summoned except by the correct costs being paid. They fought for this because it was ruled that way at Orlando by a Judge in one of his duels... in which someone did that to him and the judge ruled in favor but that doesn't follow the rules at all... If that's the case Starlight Road needs it's rulings changed to match.

Jurrac's (Meh this is the un-fun build)

So Ernest and I have been working on a Jurrac deck and this is the working build we have come up with that actually works and has potential.

Monsters: 16
3x Jurrac Dino
3x Jurrac Guaiba
3x Jurrac Velo
1x Jurrac Gallim
3x Jurrac Aeolo
1x Jurrac Herra
2x Volcanic Counter (Just because we needed something fun in there)

Spells: 12
3x Pot of Duality
1x Monster Reborn
3x Fossil Dig
2x Shrink
2x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Dark Hole

Traps: 12
2x Fossil Excavation
1x Call of the Haunted
1x Mirror Force
1x Torrential Tribute
1x Solemn Judgment
2x Solemn Warning
2x Dimensional Prison
2x Bottomless Trap Hole

Oddly enough the deck actually works and almost beat a full Duality ladden Kristya having Agent deck (Until he with 850 LP summoned Hyperion and Kristya for game super late game...

Dark World Destruction!!!

Nah Dark Worlds with their new structure are just going to be brokensauce but I doubt without serious innovation will they dominate unless someone finds something godlike and broken to do with them that's consistent and explosive. So what about Ally Worlds!!!! (Not saying's it's Godlike or Broken or Consistent or Explosive but it's a possibility to be some of those 4)

Just got home and No FNM

Turns out we wound up too late for FNM because of many many things... mostly food and a friend being lazy.
I'm home now and I'll be ordering 3 of the new structure soon because I had to return the Rykos. I need some Kristya if you see any for less than 30 US Dollars (LOL) please inform me.

I'll have a real post once I get settled in again by tomorrow.  I wish you all luck and I'll do some Fan Requests as well but I specialize in newer cards. Ernest will get around to the T.G. deck soon please be patient.

Relaxing is fun

So yeah I just so happen to be chilling at my brother's college and was invited to go to Friday Night Magic with him. So he built me a completely budget as in what was lying around Blue Red Control deck and it actually works. Tomorrow I'll have a tourney report hopefully for FNM (I doubt I'll do well).

YGO wise not much is happening but a friend wants his Ryko's back so in return I'll just buy 3 of the new Structure deck and not run any Kristya for awhile lol. Tengu Synchro beat would be fine without Ryko if I had 2 more Rai-Oh but that is just as expensive and I don't want to try to afford them.

Late but meh GA Regs report

NOTE: This is my first major tournament in nearly 5 years.
So yeah I went to Regs and have finally gotten back into the Yugioh mood. I didn't top 32 but got really close (Once I lost at table 37 I scooped due to not being 3 3 but being 3 3 1 and that 1 draw meant I could no longer top 32.)

Anyway round 1: Tengu Synchro Beat vs. KMP
Game 1: I go first and drop Rai-Oh so he had to waste something on it to play gearframe which got Divine Wrathed. I from then on had advantage and everything he played died.
Game 2: Thanks to my side I was able to close this out without much worry except when he swarmed with Burei, Bureido and Nishipachi... which got destroyed by Colossal Fighter killing most of his field making him waste removal on it. I Avariced and debris for what baically became game.
1 0

Round 2: Tengu Synchro Beat vs. Gladiator Beasts
Game 1: I was able to keep up a little but couldn't do much once I got hit with multiple Gyzarus along with a rather unplayable hand.
Game 2: He sided in Dimensional Fissure and I just happened for the first time to draw Avarice and Monster Reborn turn 1 with no way to kill the Fissure until after I had 6 monsters removed... And I got Gyzarus'd multiple times ending with a heraklinos.
1 1

Round 3: Tengu Synchro Beat vs. Chaos Plant (I think)
Game 1: Took 37 minutes and he came out with a great top deck of Debris to use Black Rose's second effect.
Game 2: Turn 1 I Chain Disappearance his Dandylion that he got with Lonefire making the token war from last game disappear. Then I torrential his play and my Tengu. When I got my second tengu out time was called. I got in 1700. His turn he kills the rest of my Tengu's. I sucessfully pull of Marshmallon for game.
1 1 1

Round 4: Tengu Synchro Beat vs.Pure Plant Synchro (With Debris and Ryko and Trooper and Gigaplants and stuff)
Game 1: I stop his Gigaplant, Gigaplant, Tytannial, Lonefire play and come out victorious
Game 2: He pulls off some crazy combo and wins it with Double Gigaplant.
Game 3: We go into time Life is 5500 to 5600 him in the lead... I set Debris Dragon... He swings and loses enough life for me to win the game as his next turn was the last one and he couldn;t kill Debris.
2 1 1

Round 5: Tengu Synchro Beat vs. Machina Gadget Solidarity
Game 1: Gearframe gets Divine Wrathed and every play ends with him with no field Tengu pokes for his entire LP.
Game 2: Similar situation except I didn't Divine Wrath his Gearframe. But otherwise his plays were all deadends and nothing could be done. (In one of the games I 8000 0'd which felt great but I felt bad winning because he seemed so depressed).
3 1 1

Round 6: Tengu Synchro Beat vs. Six Samurai
Game 1: I draw into a playable hand but he as I predicted had a face-down Double-Edge and no actual traps in the backrow but I have no way to force the double-edge so it went off and he OTK'd over my Tytannial.
Game 2: I side my deck out and put in my Side deck lol. I start off with Tengu and he has nothing. He trunades and I Mind Crush randomly calling Kagemusha. He calls judge saying I don't have to see his hand (The new ruling from a Konami email states that I do get to see his hand to verify as long as it's not common knowledge that he has no more.) He has the judge see his hand and judge rules in his favor so I don't know about the in hand Monster Reborn and other cards. (But I did hit Kagemusha which felt great). I was doing well but in the end he dropped Naturia Beast instead of Shi En. I set Penguin Soldier after he killed Tengu so I got my other one. He swings into Penguin Soldier and I bounce Tengu and his Beast. And get another Tengu. My turn I avarice and oddly enough draw Tengu making the one on field dead meaning I became vulnerable. I got once again swarmed and had little I could do left over.
 3 2 1

Round 7: Tengu Synchro Beat vs. Gravekeepers (Match-up is obscenely easy unless you get my hands)
Game 1: Drew greatness and set a monster and a trap.  Necrovalley hit the field (Normally this doesn't hurt much because I normally either get rid of it quick or play around it.) This time though He had Royal Tribute turn 1 and dropped my hand and the in hand Avarice and Monster Reborn were both dead... Ryko went off and hit a monster so I could mill... I was unable to recover.
Game 2: I drew Tytannial and Tengu. Tengu got about 2 hits in and he drew a Spy. I Flip Penguin Soldier and  get negated. I play One for One discarding the other Tengu I drew and he Royal Oppressions. I swing into Spy and he says I can't pay 800 to negate it. I forget that it is not the damage step when Flip Effects activate so I believe him after a minute of persuasion and lose because of it so I think I might main Royal Oppression in my Tengu deck once I get 2 more Rai-Oh  and Zephyrus (Bounces Oppression and Tengu and is a free non-tuner.)
3 3 1

A judge told someone else nearby that had a 3 3 record that if they won the rest they could easily top... I lost at table 38 with a 3 3 1 record meaning I had 1 less point than him so it was impossible considering there were only 2 more rounds and a 5 3 1 record doesn't work.

Next time I go to a tourney my deck will be finished for sure. Gotta get 2 more Rai-Oh and 1 Zephyrus and I'll be happy but I probably won't see another Tourney until Xyz aside from Locals. So in the meantime I'll learn to play MtG. Don't worry I'll still do my nearly daily blogposts and with help from Ernest expect more variety and more useful blogposts as time wears on (Though he is taking Summer classes at his college so has less time than before)

not much today from me

Just yesterday i had regs and if it wasnt for a draw i had a chance at top 32 but the draw killed that. I had a good time and made a lot of trades. I'll probably have something to say tonight if i don't well i'll have Ernest post that T.G. deck anon requested.

Clairvoyance and High Level Play

Many people make the mistake of playing in that robotic "auto-pilot" fashion. In fact some players get so big into that style of play that they condition their decks to a "this makes sense" kind of build rather than consciously examining the game and conditions that surround them. Many of us even make this mistake in side boarding by adding in cards that just seem to meet the needs of the situation regardless of actual synergy. Well today I'm going to speak on some of the things that help me stay on top of the opponent regardless of the strength of my hand or whats on the field. The key is knowledge.

Information and gathering information is key to success in card games and the one thing unique to Yu-Gi-Oh! is that all of the threats and disruption are laid out on board face-down. This immediately gives us information. We know automatically what cards on the board can disrupt us and how much possible negation/removal the opponent may have at his disposal. The key here is finding out what they are in order to remove or play around them correctly. Well luckily we have a few nifty cards that have been seeing both side and mainboard play recently that deserve a second look.

The first of which is my old favorite from the tomato control days Nobleman of extermination.

What makes nobleman really special is the ability to banish all copies of the trap it removed. Anyone who knows the current meta knows that virtually no traps in the average line-up are chainable so this WILL hit if it targets a trap. Secondly you get to check the opponents deck to verify which is all you really needed in the first place.

Just think of it this way your opponent has two sets and your NoE hits solemn warning, not only will you not have to worry about Warning during the rest of the duel you now get to check the deck to find out what set #2 is, along with an outline of the opponents removal suite. Making these mental notes along with observing the game can provide you with information of what cards are also in the hand, making Mind Crush a dangerous card.

The next card seeing some main board play is a particularly dangerous piece of tech.
Chain disappearance has begun to see some main board play. The functionality is similar to NoE but this one disrupts the opponent on their turn and once again lets you peer into the opponents deck to figure out whats on the board or in their hand.

Taking mental notes of these things can help you play around traps with precision as well as discern the proper time to use your precious MSTs.

Also make these checks when making plays gain more information.

Normal Summon Clear?
Synchro Summon Clear?
Direct Attack Clear?
Trap Activation Clear?
Monster Reborn Activation Clear?

If your deck poses any threat these will be occasions when the opponent will activate a trap if available. Keep in mind whats been used as well as whats remaining in the deck to determine whats on the board. I've been known by my friends to be able to call what s/t's were on the back row and now so can you.

Fan Request #2

Ok, this is something I'm not at familiar with since I generally don't build into the future since well, the cards dont exist yet but as per request today we're going to look at Wind-Ups or Mainsprings.

Monsters 18
3 Wind-Up Magician
2 Wind-Up Bat
1 Wind-Up Snail
2 Wind-Up Kitten
2 Wind-Up Juggler
2 Wind-Up Knight
2 Ryko
3 Dekoichi
1 Slate Warrior

Spells
1 Book of Moon
3 Wind-Up factory
2 Overwound Spring
2 Legendary Wind-up
2 Pot of Avarice
1 Monster Reborn
1 Dark Hole
1 MST

Traps
1 Overwrench
2 Dimensional Prison
1 Trap hole
2 Solemn Warning
1 Mirror Force
1 Torrential
1 Call of the Haunted

The point of this build is to get to zenmeister/hope asap for massive advantage of of re-useable mainspring effects as well as the flip effects you may notice that there is a slate warrior included. Well I've got a hunch that a level 4 2400 with no drawback may see value in coming days that and being a level four flip isn't a bad thing when your target Xyz level is four. Let me know what you think.

Attack Regulation

A short review on a recently revealed card from Photon Shockwave.
Attack Regulation
Continuous Spell Card
If your opponent controls 3 or more monsters, your opponent cannot declare an attack.

Review: EDIT: Review changed as I didn't even notice it wasn't a Trap just because that made the most sense lol. Yeah this card as a Continuous Spell just got brownie points. First off that means yeah it can't be used as a surprise defense but at the same time if your opponent already has 3 or more monsters you play this and now they are forced to change the number of monsters somehow in order to attack or waste backrow on this.   It's still not a god like card but it isn't bad at all for generic defense. If it's any rarity other than common expect noobs to think it's a better gravity bind lol. I want a binder page of these though just because of Counselor Lily.

Fan Request #1

The first request of the month was that I create a meklord deck with the following requirements.

3 Granel
1 Skiel

and the rest machine and Union monsters respectively.

So this is the build I've been running on DN and is undefeated so far.

3 Granel
1 Skiel
3 Army Granel
3 Army Skiel
2 Army Wisel
3 Cyber Dragon
3 Cyber phoenix
2 Machina Peacekeeper
1 Oilman

2 Boon of the Meklord Emperor
1 Limiter Removal
1 Monster Reborn
1 Dark Hole
2 MST
2 Break! Draw!
1 Book of Moon

2 Chaos Infinity
3 Mektimed Blast
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Mirror Force
1 Call of the Haunted
1 Dimensional Prison

Not the best deck but it fits all the rules pretty well.

NOTE: Still Taking Requests until the end of June so please ask away!!

I'm Taking Requests

Hello followers and fans! I'm proud to announce that for the month of June I'll be accepting requests for interesting deck builds. So please in your comments let me know what kind of builds you want to see and I'll do my best. So with that being said, bring it on!
