My Hopes have been answered!!! Galactic Overload Review 1

I won't be reviewing too many cards this time as I just got Soul Caliber 5 and have to play more UMVC3 in preparation for Final Round 15. But heck I've been waiting so long for these to be reviewable... And Trust me this time it won't be like ORCS. Read More for the First 8 Cards up to Hammer Shark!!

Alrighty First up on the block is a personal joy of mine, a New Summoned Skull!!! With even better typing. (Note: It's based on electricity where Summoned Skulls main attacks were based on electricity).

So wow Witch of the Black Forest Target YAY but guess what Witch is banned... So why in the world is a Normal Level 6 monster greatness? Well ya see here first off it looks epic as crap and makes me want to build Heiroglyphs in real life. Why Heiroglyphs? Because my kind sir this card can be ran as a 1 of in Heiroglyphs to give easy access to Atum and Atum can detach to get REDMD from deck which is a massive play... Use that REDMD to revive anything you want. Including this 2500 beater if it's what you drew at the time.

This is essentially the best Level 6 Normal Monster in the game and as a bonus it's LIGHT and Dragon just like Alexandrite Dragon which can be ran in Heiroglyph for easy Rank 4's while still keeping the LIGHT theme and in a few days I'll be reviewing some cards that make LIGHT decks quite terrifying. But just keep this card in mind when I get to Heiroglyph monsters.

One of the most important cards in Heiroglyphs. It is essentially used like Shine Balls are used in Agents aside from free Trishula factor. But with the Heiroglyphs this card essentially makes their tribute costs free and they are all LIGHT... There is a single LIGHT Support monster in this set that Heiroglyphs can love but that will be talked about later. Being 0/0 it's a Infernal Reckless Summon target and that creates one of the decks instant Double Rank 8's or instant Neo-Galaxy Eyes. Theres not much I can say about this card really because it's usefulness is defined by the rest of the Heiroglyphs.

Wow a card that is essentially useless... Drum Djinn is just a far better card so is Galaxy Storm and Kurivolt. I mean this card has uses as it's a WIND target for Summoner Monk plays to make a Lavalval Chain and set up a Dark Simorgh... Or it's also a nice card to force a Laggia negate but there are better more splashable cards than this. This card is super Splashable BTW No requirements and a simple effect and it's Level 4 my god but no card no matter how splashable is really bad... I shouldn't have to pay Life Points to remove an Xyz Material while at the same time summoning a really weak monster.

If this card is in your Graveyard and you have no cards in your hand, you can activate this effect when your opponent declares an attack. Special Summon this card from your Graveyard and end the Battle Phase. The effect of "Tasuke Knight" can only be used once per duel.

Ugh this card doesn't need that terrible effect of having no cards in hand to activate... It's already a once per duel 4th Battle Fader but now instead of direct attacks you must have an empty hand... This would only be somewhat nice in a backrow heavy format where having an empty hand is quite easy due to free setting of traps. But this card is still like most of Yuma's cards far too situation-centric to be used.

When your opponent declares a direct attack with a monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Also, when this card is selected as attack target, you can discard 1 card from your hand to have it not destroyed by that battle.

Meh card is meh... On the upside this card can defend you from an attack that's 2000 or Less and if the monsters are bigger you can discard cards to protect it... Problem is though you have to discard cards... discard cards... Fableds.... Not really opponent will just use the replay to kill the tuner... Dark World... nope tis a cost... Infernity? nah not that either they don't like dropping cards without much control... It can be a wall with Forced Requisition but only if the first discard you perform isn't a cost... so eh terrible still...

This card cannot be Special Summoned. You can activate this effect during the Main Phase 1 of the turn this card was successfully Normal Summoned. Draw 2 cards from your Deck, and skip to the End Phase of this turn. During the turn you activate this effect, you cannot Special Summon monster.

Sigh wannabe good card... If only it wasn't so terrible due to Konami's attempts to make it non abusable. Think about it this card cannot be Special Summoned so takes up your normal summon... Then takes away every other part of your turn... Meaning no Battle Phase and no Main Phase 2... Just pure End Phase... You also can't even special summon Monsters that turn... Meaning you'd have to already have field presence in order to actually make this card useful but that field presence would have to be something like Hope or Stardust or Tengu or anything big or defensive.

During your Main Phase, you can activate this effect by removing from play this card in your Graveyard. Place 1 Xyz Material your opponent controls under 1 Xyz Monster you control as Xyz Material.

So this card is nice... Snake Rain in Evol drop 3 of these to grave... play it slow and once your opponent drops a Hope you make Laggia and use 2 of these to give Laggia 4 Materials and 2 Negates and then run over Hope for free... This card would be nuts if and only if you didn't have to control an Xyz monster to activate it and it could be used on your opponents turn... Just imagine it... But it's still a good card just not broken unless you control one of those Xyz that can use their effects as much as you want. Then it could be a game ender but I digress playable card is playable but still not greatness.

Once per turn, you can activate this effect during your Main Phase. Decrease the Level of this card by 1, and Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower WATER Monster from your hand.

Nice card is Nice... First off it makes itself Level 3... and can special out any Level 3 or Lower Water from your hand... Level 3 or Lower Water Monster from your hand... So essentially this card is a 2 card commitment instant Xyz Summon... But it has a few more interesting uses... This card with Defender of the Ice Barrier or Cyromancer of the Ice Barrier or Geomancer of the Ice Barrier can make Synchros ranging from level 5-6... It also works with Lost Blue Breaker, Spined Gillman and this card together create 1 2100 beater and 1 1700 beater. It also as an added bonus can special Gishki Abyss from hand and get it's effect while having the bonus of putting in Defense Position or even Special Swap Frog... Oh exactly... Swap Frog has some synergy with this card... as Swap Frog can bounce this back to Normal any other Frog... Or bounce itself back without you having to lose a card in order to use Swap Frog. But I digress Nice card is Nice but it's is held back by that once per turn statement.

Anyway thats the end of the long review... Sorry this post is a bit late I had to take my sisters out to get dinner because they were too lazy to cook...

    1. I normally do so expect such a review when it is revealed and I've tested out a few things involving the new list. (By Revealed I mean posted on an official site, even if an unoffical site holds the real list I won't post anything until absolutely sure)
