Different Dimension ESPer Star Robin

So first and foremost I'm going to say that after looking at the current poll results of 6-1 in favor of Card Review Link page I'll make said Review Link Page. But first here's is the most interesting card from that same DT as every other review so far. ESPer Star Sparrow on DN and in TCG when it comes out is quite the fun card. It can Special it self from the Graveyard when your opponent attacks directly but with 1500 Defense won't the opponent run it over... When ran over though ESPer Star Sparrow is banished instead of returning to the grave... Worst is that it's summon causes a replay. So what if you made your opponent attack the same monster forever?

EDIT: Note: I misread the card ESPer Star Robin only protects your monsters from targetting and not your entire field.

Warrior/Effect
When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack, if this card is in your Graveyard: Special Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. If this card is Special Summoned this way, when it leaves the field, banish it. While this card is face-up on the field, other monsters you control cannot be targeted by your opponent's cards and cannot be targeted for an attack. There can only be 1 face-up "ESPer Star Sparrow".
3000/  1500

This card is a card i enjoy. One its in grave it becomes a replay causing battle fader. Pair it with Imperial Iron Wall though for an infinite battle fader. Throw in the infinite life loop, plaguespreader and the Water Xyz components you end up with a near perfect defense and good damage options and win conditions. Throw in Safe Zone for robin and enjoy nearly permanent 3000 ATK monster.

To keep the dumb defense going you can run Metaion and Battle Fader. To Protect the wall you can run Starlight Road and Dark Bribe.

The decks purpose isn't to over power the opponent but rather slowly draw into your other win conditions with relative  safety... Robin on its own is a mess of a card that'll die from the replay without proper help and needs to hit grave to be useful so why make it difficult?

At 3000 ATK he is a beater meaning if he lives through the battle phase he can turn on the offensive with synchro or xyz backing.  Once Safe Zone happens there is no way to destroy the wall or safe zone without Heavy Storm assuming you don't have a set Starlight Road or Dark Bribe. His effect also prevents your opponent from attacking your other monsters. Meaning he becomes the perfect shield with Safe Zone. All thats left after wards is to slowly murder the opponent with constant synchro or xyz summons or just use the Birdman Loop that is suddenly unMSTable and gain infinite life. Or if you wanted use Quillbolt and Cannon Soldier with a Birdman/Plaguespreader for Infinite Damage OTK.

There are a ton of cards that become very good with Robin on field... Clock Tower Prison suddenly can no longer be targetted.... 4 turns later you win with a single set Starlight Road.. Final Countdown after gaining infinite life or starting the Robin Wall combo. Anything that needs to stay on the field benefits greatly from robin almost as much as they benefit from White Dragon Ninja but Robin can be used in OCG where it can have even more effectiveness. Safe Zone and Robin lock Inzecters. Iron Wall and Robin lock everything sans Super Poly and Watts.

  1. Hi there!

    Cool review, but 1 thing:

Robin's effect won't protect your Safe Zone. That's because the targeting protection only works with other monsters.

But if I'm missing something, feel free to correct me.
