Iron Giant - Iron Hammer

So this card may seem quite terrible with it's steep summoning condition of having not 1 of them but all the other cards in the ESPer Star Robin set aside from Jet Iron. So my question to you all is how do you summon it? Well that's far easier than you'd think. First off I'll be working on the Card Review page steadily when I have free time because it isn't an urgent thing to do. I'll also be working on more interesting reviews albeit most likely of TCG exclusives or slightly older cards that were recently released in either TCG or OCG. Sorry for the drab and dry reviews recently it's just become more difficult to find worthy cards to review.

Iron Giant - Iron Hammer
EARTH
Level 8
If you control a "Different Dimension Esper Star Robin", "Beast Warrior Puman", and "Giant Bird King Beast Gairuda", you can Special Summon this card from your hand. While this card is face-up on the field, Battle Positions cannot be changed. Also, ocne per turn, activate by selecting 1 monster you control. During this turn, the selected monster can attack your opponent's Life Points directly.
900/3500

So in a nut shell how in all heck do you summon this monster in defense position... Well I'm here to make that a possibility for ya. First possibility is spelled out in it's text. If you control Robin, Puman, and Gairuda you can just special him... How do you get them all on field though? you'd have to play it slow... really slow... First off Puman would search Robin to hand... by tributing itself... Gairuda is also a tribute summon... meaning you can get Robin without much work but for getting him you don't get Puman... and have no tribute for Gairuda. Hmm well that idea is out because we don't have the support spells and traps the show had.

Meaning that we have to think outside of the box... First thing is drop him to grave and you can just get him back with Monster Reborn in Defense mode. Simple no? but you only have 1 Reborn... So that's benched for now... What about banishing him? Then you have the option of Release from Stone and Return from the Different Dimension... But those are quite slow are they not? You can search it to hand easy with Sangan or mill it to grave with Rock Bombardment. But what about using Giant Rat? You can't safely use Rat either because he'd come out in Attack Position and his own effect won't let him switch positions. So what can you use? Last Will? Wait that's banned... hmm Oh of course Jet Iron!!! which requires a 5 card hand of 5 specific cards including itself... So thats out. hmm... Avalanching Aussa? just tribute any EARTH and special him from hand? seems nice right but if she dies then he dies... Well think about it... him dying isn't important if he dies he dies. That'd just make him a Banish target for something like Gigantes... oh heh guess what he can be special summoned from a banished state. Hmm what else can banish him? Oh Miracle Fusion for Gaia interesting... Oh hmm what else well if Future Fusion can dump him to grave we can do a lot. Gemknights like Rock monsters right? So now we can dump him to grave with relative ease and later banish him...

So now we know that we can use Release from Stone, Return from the Different Dimension, Giant Rat, Avalanching Aussa, D.D.R Different Dimension Revivial to special him. How do we use him?

Well to use him you could decide to use Spirit Reaper to capitalize on the direct attack but take the drawback of no defense... Fushi no Tori to get a free 1200 gain and put Fushi back to hand... Yata-Garasu... oh wait banned... Who likes attacking directly? Oh that's right big monsters... Hmm Big Monsters? Wait Gaia Plate!!! Gigantes!!! Zirconia!!! Hope Ray?!?!?!?!?? suddenly things make sense. If you decide to use him in a Pure Rock build you can take advantage of the very useful Solidarity and run it alongside Rock Stun but instead of Pachycephalo you could just use Barrier Statue as that can be banished for Gaia Plate and brought back my Release from Stone just like Barrier Statue of the Light and Miraculous Descent... hmm...

So suddenly you have this Rock deck that can attack directly at will and can fill it's graveyard when it wants or just flat out OTK the opponent with a big enough hand... thanks to Gemknights... hmm!?!?!??! Ever heard of a Gemknight deck that exclusively summons Zirconia? as it's only Fusion? neither have I so you'd be running some of the other Gemknights too right? Wrong!?!?! Gemknight Lazuli and Gemknight Obsidian don't care about Attribute as long as it's a Normal Monster!?!?!?!? so use a Normal Rock monster and you can keep the pure Rock set-up!!! oh Rock? Wait Normal? hmm? Rabbit possibilities ensue?!?!? The deck has a ton of possibilities and it's up to you to use it to its maximum. one way is to capitalize on disallowing position changes and flooding the opponent with tokens somehow and just poking directly with a random monster until the duel ends?!?!? or you can use your new 3500 Defense Monster with Shield and Sword and other related cards and have a direct attacking God of Destruction. Hmm now that Giant Rat don't look so bad... Rat>This>Inverse Universe gg?!?!?!?!?

I'll tell you a secret... I thought of half of the stuff in the review while typing the review that is how most of my reviews have been so far. I underestimate cards and then see possibilities as I try to make the card look good.

Thank you for playing!!
