Gemknight Lazuli
EARTH
Level 1
Rock/Effect
If this card is sent to the Graveyard by a card effect: You can target 1 Normal Monster in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand.
600 / 100
This card is nuts for Gem-Knights... It's essentially Obsidian 4,5,6... Hence why OCG builds have been using instead of the Gemini Ones the actual Normal Ones because spamming Citrine and Prism-Aura is nice... but Spamming Citrine, Rubyz, Prism-Aura, and Topaz along with Zirconia loops is nicer...
Thank to this card one can actually fuse Obsidian and this for Zirconia and then use both effects to get back any 2 Normal Monsters level 4 or lower from grave to hand and field respectively. Meaning for some interesting plays... First off these cards along with the Normal Gemknights allow for Fusion Loops... Tourmaline+Obsidian/Lazuli means Prism-Aura... with a Tourmaline on field or in hand... meaning either Prism-Aura gets to use it's effect or you could use Gem-Knight Fusion banishing the Obsidian or Lazuli and make another Fusion with any other monster in hand like hmm I don't know Volcanic Shell or Thunder Dragon both of which love Gem-Knights. And Thunder Dragon makes Seraphi viable as well due to it's Light Attribute. The deck never has to run out of steam and has 3 Stratos all of which can be used for Zirconia or Dia no matter what Gemknight you have.
Did I not mention that you can make multiple Zirconia in one turn with a properly set up grave... Hence why you can run Future Fusion to drop any 3 Gemknights thanks to Master Dia... You'd drop 2 Normal Gemknights and 1 Lazuli who will activate and return 1 Normal Gemknight to hand... Fuse the Normal Gemknight with Hopefully one of your 5 left over Lazuli or Obsidian and get back the Normal Gemknight... banish the other monster used for the Fusion and make another Zirconia... Do this until you have no Lazuli or Obsidian in hand as they are useless everywhere else.
Lazuli outside of Gemknights is quite limited as the best it can do is return an Alius to your hand... which is nice I guess but Hero's don't normally run Poly... Super Poly and this card like each other due to this card triggering after being used as the cost for Super Poly but past that no actual use here...
Card is great but as it should be only great in Gemknights outside the scope of Gemknights it's quite a bad card. Back to Lightrays... Sorcerer in Heiroglyphs... Oh suddenly Chain Disappearance is actually quite helpful. It also makes Set quite playable sometimes... (Dragons Mirror is always a better choice that Set lol).
