Galactic Overload Review 3 -Hieroglyph

This is gonna be really late I'm sorry but I had things to do IRL. Anyway how'd you all like the first 16 cards in the set? I personally thought they were all greatness aside from a few generally unusable cards which Konami loves to bless us with. This review will cover all the Hieroglyph monsters so once again a 8 card review. Wish me luck and read more.
FIRST CARD:
Hieroglyph Dragon - Dragon Nuut
LIGHT
Level 4
Dragon/Effect
Activate this effect when this face-up card on the field becomes the target of a Magic, Trap or Effect Monster's Effect. Select 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster from your hand, deck or Graveyard, and Special Summon it with its ATK and DEF changed to 0. This effect can only be used once per turn.
1700/900

Nice card is nice. Essentially if this card is targetted by anything!!! You can get out any Normal Dragon in the game... meaning some sick comboes can be done. first off it has Dragrad comboes in that you can tribute a random Dragon and make this card level 8... Because it was targetted it will activate and special out the Level 8 Normal Dragon named w/e Level 8 Normal Dragon you want (The themed one is best). Overlay for Ennead... But the best combo this card has at it's simplest... Call of the Haunted... same as Spirit Reaper... targetted by Call ... This card would then activate and special out alexandrite for an instant Xyz. This card is amazing... Essentially using anything bar Book of Moon or similar negation or flipping cards that target this card suddenly becomes a plus when used.

NEXT:
Hieroglyph Dragon - Dragon-Geiv
LIGHT
Level 4
Dragon/Effect
When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, select 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster in your Hand, Deck or Graveyard and Special Summon it with its ATK and DEF changed to 0. Also, when this card is Released, Special Summon 1 "Hieroglyph" Normal Monster from your Hand, Deck or Graveyard.
1800/400

This is the archetypes own Shura and in a nutshell can do what it wants... If it kills something you can spam out that Dragon-Type Normal Monster I forgot the name of that in the previous post not the electric one... Meaning Alexandrite/Luster Dragon for instant Rank 4 once again I stress that this is a nice play but running Alexandrite/Luster Dragon is no contest when the Alexandrite Dragon is by and far the better card due to it's LIGHT typing making it benefit from LIGHT support like the rest of the deck... Anyway This card is quite basic no special tricks or anything. Except that remember that it's released effect is very different from the other Hieroglyphs in that it can't grab any non-Hieroglyph when released.

NEXT:
Hieroglyph Dragon - Aset-Dragon
LIGHT
Level 5
Dragon/Effect
You can Normal Summon this card without Release. If you do, this card's original ATK becomes 1000. Once per turn, you can activate this effect by selecting 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster on the field. The Level(s) of all "Hieroglyph" monster on the field become the same as the Level of the selected monster until the End Phase. Also, when this card is Released, select 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster in your Hand, Deck or Graveyard, and Special Summon it with its ATK and DEF changed to 0.
1900/1200

Heh now that we have Nuut it's really not that useful aside from it's effect that lets you target any Normal Dragon and make all your Hieroglyphs have the same level as it. Dang it been spelling it wrong the whole time one moment... (You won't notice this because It's all during the drafting). This card essentially can make a field of varying levels into a uniform field of 8's... But it can act as a mini Dragrad sometimes... If you normal summon this by releasing a Hieroglyph you can easily make this the same level as whatever you decide to summon out... So I guess this card is relatively useful but mostly in a limited scope aside from it's uses in a Hieroglyph Spam deck like my previous builds.

NEXT:
Hieroglyph Dragon - Nephthe-Dragon
LIGHT
Level 5
Dragon/Effect
You can Special Summon this card from your hand by Releasing 1 "Hieroglyph" Monster you control. Once per turn, you can Release 1 other "Hieroglyph" monster you control or in your hand to select 1 monster your opponent controls and destroy it. Also, when this card is Released, select 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster in your Hand, Deck or Graveyard, and Special Summon it with its ATK and DEF changed to 0.
2000/1600

Heh, Nice card is nice. It's a free destruction of any monster your opponent controls because whatever Hieroglyph you tribute either replaces itself or was free to begin with. and It tributes Hieroglyphs just to summon itself meaning it's nearly a free Special Summon. But it's not really all that special except in a deck dedicated to Rank 5's for Pleieades it's really really really good. Rank 4 version can have splashed in Rabbit trollol game is trollol.

NEXT:
Hieroglyph Dragon - Tfeni-Dragon
LIGHT
Level 6
Dragon/Effect
If your opponent controls a monster, and you control no monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. During the turn you Special Summoned it this way, this card cannot attack. When this card is Released, select 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster in your Hand, Deck or Graveyard, and Special Summon it with its ATK and DEF changed to 0.
2100/1400

Cyber Dragon is Cyber Dragon... But it can't attack... But who cares... It's gonna be released anyway... It has nothing really special about it aside from being Level 6 but you will rarely use Tfeni for Xyz summons or Synchro Summons in the Synchro Variant of the deck (Which is just as dangerous as the Rank 8 version just not as consistently dangerous). Good card though is really good card and nearly a necessity in Hieroglyphs.

NEXT:
Hieroglyph Dragon - Shiyu-Dragon
LIGHT
Level 6
Dragon/Effect
This card can be Special Summoned from your hand by Releasing 1 "Hieroglyph" monster you control. Once per turn, you can Release 1 "Hieroglyph" Monster other than this card you control or in your hand to select and destroy 1 Magic or Trap Card your opponent controls. When this card is Released, select 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster in your Hand, Deck or Graveyard, and Special Summon it with its ATK and DEF changed to 0.
2300/1000

So the same thing as Nephthe but for Spells and Traps which is just as nice... But this is Level 6 meaning access to Atum which makes one of the most disgusting plays this deck can make. Aside from double Ennead or turn 1 NGEPD. The Atum play can put over 5000 damage on board not to mention possibility of Inferno Reckless Summon for the OTK. Good card is good... not gonna comment on what happens when it's released they almost all do that. BTW High-Quality Image is High Quality I love Shriek right now.

NEXT:
Hieroglyph Dragon - Usir-Dragon
LIGHT
Level 7
Dragon/Effect
You can Special Summon this card from your hand by removing from play 1 Dragon-Type LIGHT Monster and 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster in your Graveyard. If this card on the field would be destroyed, you can Release 1 other face-up "Hieroglyph" Monster you control instead.
2600/700

Eh so a counterproductive summoning condition mitigated by the existence of Lightray Sorcerer. But even better is that you can Normal Summon this card... Tribute 2 Hieroglyphs get out 2 Level 7 Normal Dragons make Lucky Stripe like a boss... possibility lol. But it's also hard to destroy as long as you control Hieroglyphs like the old six samurai... except it will trigger your Hieroglyphs. It's an interesting card but Hieroglyph don't need it to work.

NEXT:
Hieroglyph Dragon - Setekh-Dragon
LIGHT
Level 8
Dragon/Effect
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by Removing from play 3 Dragon-Type Normal Monster in your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard to select 1 card on the field and destroy it.
2800/2000

Ah the non-Xyz boss of the Archetype... oh whats this... It's so counterproductive that it's terrible... in a conventional Hieroglyph deck you'd banish your entire Engine to summon him... Lightray Sorcerer once again mitigates this somewhat but it's such a loss that it really isn't good. And all it does is destroy 1 card once per turn by banishing more monsters... So it can be useful in some weird backwards Normal Dragon deck... But it doesn't support Hieroglyphs at all...

Anyway that's all for today... Tomorrow may possibly be empty depends on whether I feel like posting after the YCS If I do post... IT will be from Evols>Inzektors>Lightray a total of 10 cards putting me up to 35/80 cards reviewed.
