No.50 Black Corn

Update: Stats are confirmed 2100/ 1500
UPDATE 2: Image is now in color!!!!
UPDATE 3: Wikia has it listed as being able to use it's effect more than once per turn. I'll leave the effect the way Shriek had it though until further notice as Wikia isn't fully trustworthy.

Image is still in Black and White as it's going to be the Manga promo for the next Zexal Volume. This card in my opinion is going to go in to any deck that summons Rank 4 Xyz as utility along with Daigusto Emeral and Lavalval Chain but with a far better use... I like this card such a dumb amount just because of the name and it being a Plant and Dark... yum Verz Mandrago can have some fun.

No. 50 Black Corn
DARK
Rank 4
Plant/Xyz/Effect
Once per turn, you can activate this effect by removing 1 Xyz Material from this card and selecting 1 monster your opponent controls with lower ATK than this card. Send the selected monster to the Graveyard and inflict 1000 Damage to your opponent's Life Points. During the turn this effect was activated, this card cannot attack.
2100/1500

So you all may be thinking this card is quite bad... All it does it get rid of 1 monster it could have killed anyway and deal a little damage and then not attack... That statement is where you all would stop reading but don't.

Think about it like this... Your opponent controls a Gachi Gachi Gantetsu (Common in Agents). Suddenly you have a near instant out to it and can deal an extra 1000 damage to your opponent after their 1000 payment to make the Gantetsu. Your opponent drops a Zenmaines turn 1... You Special Verz Mandrago and normal any level 4. Overlay for Black Corn... you minus 1 your opponent +0'd for the Zenmaines. You kill Zenmaines you have now +0'd and your opponent no longer has his Zenmaines and is missing Life Points he'd have otherwise kept. The same way this card deals with Spirit Reaper and Marshmallon. Not to mention the extra burn damage can be game in some late game situations. The art is stupidly epic...

Other uses for this good card is that oh if it lives the next turn you can OMG kill something else that's weaker than it. The only drawback is that it's only targets are 2000 or less monsters. Hence what about a Monster Murder deck? Not Anti-Meta but a deck that constantly deprives your opponent of field position? Through usage of Compulsory PWWB and other such traps along with 1 for 1 monster destruction throw in some reapers and you are good to go.

The list of cards that are commonly used this card can "SEND" to the grave is quite extensive. It won't be sending any major monsters but it can get rid of standard walls without trying. The point though is that it has really really good utility and any deck that has a simple time summoning Rank 4 should run this card. This card played off of a Summoner Monk play can actually become an instant plus 1. This card is also a great Xyz Reborn target which although a relatively bad card can be quite useful in certain decks. Any deck that Spams Xyz like no tomorrow can use this card along with Xyz Reborn. Hence an Xyz Reborn deck might not be that bad. Using Ninja's and Monk as quick Rank 4 Engines. Black Corn hits and murders something.

But just remember this card is DARK and Plant. You may not think much of it but those two are quite nice stats to have. First and foremost this is the only Plant Xyz monster in the game so far... And it's Generic nice instant removal. In essence upon summoning it becomes a Smashing Ground that says "Send" but has a body at the cost of a 2 for 1 Exchange.

No Idea what tomorrow's card is going to be I picked this one on the fly.
