Token Stampede! and First non-monster review

Token Stampede
Continuous Trap Card
Card Text: Tokens in Attack Position gain 1000 ATK and cannot be destroyed by battle.

So yeah relatively simple right... did I mention the Cybernetic Magician OTK just became free turn 2...

Read more to find out more than you can see by just reading the card. And this time I'll include another token card for review in here as well.







First off this card is ridiculously awesome... It can be trap stunned and such and must be set first as it's only drawbacks. But I mean honestly set two of this and set scapegoat... If you get a clear hit in you win...

Here are some scenarios in which this card is greatness:

- Black Garden: Use Token Stampede in conjunction with Black Garden and from there on your opponent cannot destroy the Rose Tokens by crashing them and every time he summons you get guess what!?!?! a 1800 beater that cannot be destroyed by battle. As a side note: Black Garden's second effect can with only one token summon any 1800 ATK monster from your graveyard.

- Cosmic Compass: Token Stampede and Cosmic Compass can be deadly. Your opponent has two monsters you summon Cosmic Compass and get two tokens... Activate Stampede the tokens are now 1000 Attack and can't be destroyed by battle. Which can mean that in attack mode they are unkillable walls and your opponent unlike spirit reaper has to waste something on not a monster but a free token that cost you nothing and only gained you pluses for each one they take time to destroy. But you still take damage so be smart. SPIRIT BARRIER!!!!

-Dandylion: Opponent runs over Dandylion and has enough monsters to kill the tokens!!! Stampede that b-word! Unkillable Dandylion Tokens means free Tytannial Fodder that can't die until used for Tytannial. Plant Token seems like a fun idea now doesn't it. (Seed Cannon would be a must lol)  Sadly Dandylion puts the tokens in defense.

- Darklord Asmodeus: Upon its demise you get two tokens... one can't die from battle and one can't die from card effects. STAMPEDE!!!! Now suddenly you have a token that can't die from battle and one that can't die from anything!!! Did I mention they now have ungodly attack for their effects.

- Doppelwarrior: OTK... I'm done speaking lol. Activate STAMPEDE X2!!!! Junk Synchron revives Doppelwarrior and tunes for Junk Warrior summon two 2400 tokens... 7100+2400+2400 GG... or the alternative and less sacky route: Quickdraw drops Doppelwarrior... Summon Junk Synchron... revive Doppel... Stampede... tune Junk and Doppel for Junk Warrior... tune for Drill Warrior  5100+1400+2400... Same as the may Solidarity combos but in a Token Synchro deck this is the better OTK (Yes there is a such a thing I'll make it for you tomorrow).

- Destiny Hero - Double Dude: Summon it and use your own Chain Destruction "destroying" every copy hopefully one other. during your standby phase you get 4 tokens with 1000 ATK.. Stampede for OTK...

- Lord British - Space Fighter: Common sense on how this works...

- Kuriboh + Multiply: Kuriboh gets Multiplied pop Stampede and your wall can never die... Then you can feel like Yugi until you sac 3 of them for Plasma or something (Adam this is for you if you read this). Remember you have to switch them to Attack position to keep them alive though. SPIRIT BARRIER!!

-Phantom Skyblaster: If you control one other monster it is time for massive damage. if you have two Stampedes you once again win the duel.

- Zeta Reticulent: free 1500 Tokens that can't be destroyed by battle in Zetarchs is fun.

Tyrant's Tirade
Continuous Trap Card (Uria Synchro Tokens anyone?)
Tribute 2 monsters. Effects of Effect monsters that activate in the hand or on the field cannot be activated.

So yeah relatively simple right!! Well what if you were tributing tokens... for free... Now your opponent's deck suddenly sucks until he destroys this card. Or better yet tribute Rose Tokens that your opponent put there and now he can't use Black Rose Dragon or Brionac to get out of anything.



Tyrant's Temper
Continuous Trap Card (URIA SYNCHRO TOKENS!!!)
Tribute 1 monster: All Face-up monsters on the field that you own are unaffected by Trap Cards.

So yeah also simple!!! Well once again tribute a token this time though you can't use Stampede on them anymore... So you are going to use this in a non-stampede deck. I'd personally use it in a deck based around an OTK so that all my monsters become Wildman. But also your monsters become unaffected by your traps like Gravity Bind, Call of the Haunted, Des Counterblow, Final Attack Orders (You don't have to attack ever), Grave of the Super Ancient Organism, Limit Reverse now allows defense mode, Needle Ceiling, Torrential Tribute, Tyrant's Tirade (HMM now you can use effects and your opponent can't), and many more.

Tyrant's Violence
Continuous Trap Card (Still there's always URIA)
Tribute 2 monsters. Your opponent must send 1 Spell Card from their deck to the graveyard to activate a spell card.

This card although seemingly crappy due to it's non-immediate effect. It can be pretty good if used at the right time in the right duel. I mean honestly this card is a side-deck card for Tokens. Thing is people only run around 10-12 spells now and most are staples and the other 4 are normally integral to the decks function (2x Space Typhoon 1x Other Trap remover 1x Monster Reborn 1x Dark Hole 1x Book of Moon 2x Book of Moon Substitute). If they want to Dark Hole your tokens (Only way to get rid of them on their turn) they must send something they need to the graveyard never to see it again. If they want to space this they must lose another threat from their deck.

 It's a very interesting psychological card that forces your opponent to think about whether he needs the other spells in his deck (Being a douche and running Magic Jammer would be wrong)... Oh and if you by some chance have two of these and place Scapegoat your opponent must send 2 Spells meaning he has to send something useful.. Early on this can win the duel.


Tommorrow I'll do a post on a Token Synchro deck (Not the only way to do it there are many ways and this one is probably not the best but it's my favorite way)

EDITED: Some tokens summon in Defense Mode so I had to change things I forgot Dandylion was forced defense and so was Multiply. This card still is good as those were rather out there examples and regardless multiply should still be able to get you 4 unkillables. You just need another way to take off damage. SPIRIT BARRIER IS GREATNESS WITH STAMPEDE!!!! (all your monsters become Cloudians and you take no damage)
