We've been talking about this card for a long time now and how it will impact Hero Decks somehow... well truth be told it doesn't really add anything to the deck. It just spawns a new kind of Hero build. And both Hero Builds are ran differently.
In testing I've realized that anytime a Miracle Contact would work wonders so would a Miracle Fusion and running both just clogs the deck. So I'm thinking that when building N-Heroes one must remember that you do not have enough space to do everything you want to do. You can make do with a single Neos, and a set of 5-6 Neo-Spacians, Stratos, and some Prisma. That's the easy part... then we get to the Spells and suddenly all hell breaks lose. You have choices to make here. First E - Emergency Call and ROTA you want to run these in multiples but you also want to run Convert Contact and Pot of Avarice and 2-3 Pot of Duality... Then you want to run 2-3 Miracle Contact and still you haven't put in your Super Poly's yet if you run them. Then you have to put in your staples like Dark Hole, Monster Reborn, Book of Moon and so on. Then because of Divine Neos you have to run Future Fusion... and if you want to run Miracle Fusion you end up with something like this...
Monsters: 11
1x Elemental Hero Neos
1x Elemental Hero Stratos
3x Elemental Hero Prisma
6x Neo-Spacians of your choice
Spells: 22
3x E - Emergency Call
1x Reinforcement of the Army
3x Convert Contact
1x Pot of Avarice
3x Pot of Duality
3x Miracle Contact
2x Super Polymerization
1x Dark Hole
1x Monster Reborn
1x Book of Moon
2x Miracle Fusion
1x Future Fusion
Traps: 7
8x W/e you want
It doesn't seem clogged does it? Now if we were to be moderate in our selections we can have a more robust deck but it now has less consistent explosions.
Monsters: 12
1x Elemental Hero Neos
1x Elemental Hero Stratos
2x Elemental Hero Prisma
6x Neo-Spacians of your choice
2x Effect Veiler
Spells: 19
2x E - Emergency Call
1x Reinforcement of the Army
3x Convert Contact
1x Pot of Avarice
3x Pot of Duality
3x Miracle Contact
1x Super Polymerization
1x Dark Hole
1x Monster Reborn
2x Miracle Fusion
1x Future Fusion
Traps: 9
9x W/e you want
So no matter what we do it seems we are in the wrong right? Because we want the deck to just go nuts when it needs to but we don't want it to draw badly too often. So what about abandoning some of the older ideas and going with something new and more Neos focused.
Monsters: 15

1x Elemental Hero Stratos
3x Elemental Hero Prisma
2x Cardcar D
6x Neo-Spacians of your choice
1x Neo-Spacian Grand Mole

2x E - Emergency Call
1x Reinforcement of the Army
3x Convert Contact
1x Pot of Avarice
3x Miracle Contact
1x Future Fusion
1x Super Polymerization
1x Heavy Storm
2x Night Beam
1x Dark Hole
1x Monster Reborn

This way the Extra deck won't be nearly as crowded allowing for more extra funness.
The Cardcar D are far from necessary and can be replaced with anything.
The decks may all seem very similar but in actuality they are all ran completely different and with different mindsets.
The Aggro player wants the first build. The Control oriented player wants the second. The Mid-Range player wants the last one. These are still rough drafts for the most part but close enough to what may be the final product. I'm not saying the first two are bad I'm just saying that they are heavily flawed. The last one is also flawed in having too few options in exchange for a more focused build.
It's up to you all how and which to use and with what specific cards. You can even build a Pure Build and have results it just depends on your play style and your use of Miracle Contact. With proper use of the tools available any duelist can take it to the Apex Limit.
spoken like a true hero user!
ReplyDeletemiracle contact is a gateway to a consistent neos deck that make the triples more playable and allows us to access powers like no other.
But, you're right about the style of the duelist in choosing a variant.
just prepare for more neo spacial deck profiles on youtube once this card comes out.
