A study on the pro's and con's of opening plays

Alrighty guys, a standard opening play is normally conservative but sometimes opening plays that put out a threat immediately are just as good. Here are my observations on this:

T-set:
Set 1 monster and 1 Trap.
Pros:
-4 cards left in hand
-Opponent forced to either waste cards early or play conservatively at first.
-Normally your set monster is your set-up card.

Cons:
-Easy to remove your field
-With two MST your back-row isn't safe

Double Trap:
Set 2 Traps and 1 Monster.
Pros:
-Opponent has little choice but to play conservatively
-You have a back-up defensive option

Cons:
-Only 3 cards left in hand
- Opponent will play conservatively forcing you to make a real play next turn.

Hand set:
Set 3-5 Traps and 0-1 Monsters
Pros:
-Opponent will play conservatively
-You are in control of the duel from the get go
-You have an out to most everything

Cons:
-Giant Trunade is a forced negate
-Cold Wave is also a forced negate
-Black Rose Dragon is a forced negate
-Mobius is a forced negate etc.
-In other words you will be forced to do a lot of negating early on hurting you more in the long run

The most rewarding is probably the Double Set in this format with double MST's and more Traps main decked to make it viable.

T-set used to be standard but in this format (whats left of it) Double set is it's replacement. Hand set is still Godlike especially if you can bring out a beast.
