Chaos Hunter is sex

Chaos Hunter
DARK
Level 7
Fiend/Effect
When your opponent Special Summons a monster, you can discard 1 card to Special Summon this card from your hand. Your opponent cannot remove cards from play.
2500/1600

Obviously great card is great.

Starting with Dragon Ice this card is part of a line of cards that are Special Summoned when your opponent Special Summons:
Dragon Ice
Phantom Dragon
Cyber Dinosaur
Extra Veiler
Chaos Hunter

Chaos Hunter is just straight out better than any of the others by leaps and bounds.

DARK
Fiend
Level 7
2500
No Remove from play
Discard is a cost

Being Dark simply means it receives any support a Dark monster can receive including being fodder for Allure if not needed or for Chaos Sorcerer drop afterwards.

Fiend is also fun but a simple plus is that it works with any fiend support.

Level 7 means that it can be used as part of a synchro summon with any level 1 tuner for a Level 8 synchro. Opponent plays Foolish to dump Dandy and you special summon this against the tokens discarding Glow-up Bulb. Next turn revive glow-up for Stardust while also stopping D.D. Crow and such nonsense.

2500 is broken compared to the other cards like Chaos Hunter none went above 2300. This behemoth can ram into Stardust for funses murder any attempt at Chaos Sorcerer and force DAD to attack into a Mirror Force. It also stops Spore from returning and if you felt like it Black Rose Dragon's second effect or it's first effect if they used Dandylion or Beast of the Pharaoh for the summon and chain it all nice. Oh and Scapegoat on your end phase gives you Chaos Hunter as well. The discard is laughable nowadays.

Discard 1 card is a geniusly(not a word) combo oriented effect...
Discard The Fabled Catsith to destroy the special summoned monster...
Discard Fabled Kruz to revive a level 1 Fabled Tuner and drop Valkyrus...
Discard Dandylion to get two tokens out of summoning Chaos Hunter which on your next turn can become a Trishula.
Discard crap you want in the grave for next turns Debris or Junk Synchron or Blizzard or something lol.
Also drop this against a full Sam field once there is no sign of Hand or Mizuho and laugh as they have nothing that can attack over it without wasting counters.
Discard an extra Gravekeeper you got with Stele and have a semi-Necrovalley.
Snap Dragon works for a free random disruption until the end phase.
White Stone of Legend works fine with Chaos Hunter giving you a Blue Eyes White Dragon for your troubles replacing itself making it a nearly free drop.
Volcanic Scattershot for free damage.

No removing from play is just that your opponent can no longer get use from Macro Cosmos, D Fissure, the removal from bottomless is stopped so the monster just goes to the graveyard. They can't activate Spore... They also can't activate Chaos Sorcerer or Dark Armed Dragon. Lets see a full list of useful cards they can't use an effect of...
Trishula
Vayu
Caius
D.D. Crow
Dark Armed Dragon
Chaos Sorcerer
Destiny Hero - Malicious
Destiny Hero - Doom Lord
Dimensional Alchemist
Life Stream Dragon
Naturia Barkion
Naturia Exterio
Necro Gardna
Phantom of Chaos
Ronintoadin
Spore
Tech Genus Blade Gunner
Shooting Star Dragon
Allure of Darkness
Cards for Black Feathers
Nobleman of Crossout
System Down
Bottomless Trap Hole
Dimensional Prison
Chain Disappearance

Those are just the well used cards it stops in other words your opponent has to waste something on it making your -2 a small -1 or less and if you make it into a Formula Synchron or get free advantage from it's summon it can become even better. Eventually if you summon it just right you will actually plus from it.

In my opinion even with all this greatness this card gets a 4/5 due to occasionally just sitting in your hand doing not much of anything same reason if I did a Maxx C review it would also get a 4.5/5.

See you guys tomorrow!
