Different Dimension Spirit can have uses but rulings make it not very great

Different Dimension Spirit
Light
Fairy/Tuner
Level 1
You can remove from play 1 face-up monster you control to Special Summon this card from your hand. During the next Standby Phase, Special Summon the monster removed by this card's effect.
0/100

Different Dimension Spirit although currently unused can create devastating Synchro Summons much like Ally Genex Birdman.

A few useful situations:

  • Phantom Skyblaster can be removed for this cards summon and it can tune with the token for a level 5 Synchro Summon like Tech Genus Hyper Librarian.
  • Junk Synchron can be removed for this card after he revives a level 1 non-tuner and you can tune for a Formula Synchron
  • Debris Dragon after reviving a large monster like Arcanite Magician and tuning for a monster like Stardust Dragon.
  • Gravekeeper's Spy after summoning another Gravekeeper's Spy or a Gravekeeper's Recruiter and tuning for a monster without much effort and following up with an Armory Arm and a Gravekeeper in hand.
  • Blackwing - Shura the Azure Flame after getting a successful attack to tune with the summoned monster for a Hyper Librarian or Catastor and insurance as that Shura will be back for an Icarus Attack on your opponents Standby Phase before they can stop it.
  • Kinka-Byo to Fortune Lady Lighty to D.D. Spirit and remove the Kinka-Byo which will in turn remove Lighty for a Fortune Lady Earth or Watery and tune happily. (Assuming Kinka's effect works as it should)

This card can also serve a nice niche of protecting your bigger more important monsters from things like Dark Hole or a Torrential... OR a really evil idea... Remove Stardust Dragon for this card and activate Torrential Tribute to Special Summon Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity or go for a 4000 Limiter OTK with Machine Emperor Grannel Infinity that will have a safe Stardust on the field during your opponents Standby Phase protecting you.

It may have other even better uses but I'll leave those up to you guys to figure out.

EDIT: So yeah ruling (In japanese so I had to Google Translate it)
Q: This card does not exist or when the monster back out on the field, even back when turned off the effects of this card?
A: No, it does not exist in face-up monster on the field, the trigger does not return to the field from taking effect, return.
I'm supposed to be returned even if the effect of this card is not valid.

I'd suppose this says if this card doesn't exist on the field the monster does not come back meaning everything stroke-through doesn't work... I wish the Japanese card Q&A was easier to navigate but then again it's in Japanese...

Well anyway now that it semi-sucks and semi has a use I'm rather pissed as in thoroughly pissed. Next time I'm doing another review because this card betrayed me so heavily.
