You thought I was going to make a Summon Chant or something? Well you can now with this new support card for Fish/Aqua/and Sea Serpents!
Surfacing
Spell Card
Select 1 level 3 or lower Fish, Sea Serpent, Aqua-Type monster in your graveyard. Special Summon it in face-up Defense Position.
Simple right seems rather underwhelming I'm liek what level 3 or lower good Fish, Sea Serpent, Aqua-Type monsters are there... Then I facedesk and look at my frog monarchs... cry a little... commit self-suicide and let's see... commit self-vehicular double homicide suicide without crashing and alone. Read more for the potential brokeness.
So your first thought is frogs... goooooood. This is some really nice support for them but also good for fish and aqua monsters... Here is a list of all useful monsters this card summons...
-Fishborg Blaster
-Gladiator Beast Murmillo
-Gladiator Beast Torax
-Ritua Abyss (Free search)
-Oyster Meister
-Oceans Keeper
-Deep Sea Diva
-Reese the Ice Mistress
-Spined Gillman
-Change Toad
-Cryomancer of the Ice Barrier
-Dupe Frog
-Swap Frog
-Gladiator Beast Retiari
-King of the Swamp
-Maryokutai
-Ronintoadin
-Vortex Trooper
-Dewdark of the Ice Barrier
-Mainspring Snail
Seems like a small number... all of them are ridiculous though...
Fishborg: Can be revived without having another water
Gladiator Beasts: Can attack to go back to the deck or become Fusion Materials
Ritua: Free search and Ritual Materials
Diva: Tuner... Case-closed
Cyromancer of the Ice Barrier: One more Ice Barrier and your opponent is locked from attacks.
Dupe Frog: If it is sent to the graveyard again you can get another search...
Swap Frog: Special Summon from grave... thin... Special Summon from hand... thin... Return to hand... Summon...?...Profit...
King of the Swamp: Can be useful if Super Poly is all that's left...
Maryokutai: Opponent has to get rid of it to play spells?
Vortex Trooper: Upon second death you get to draw...
Mainspring Snail: Can activate it's effect to return 1 Set card..
Well uh seems a little underwhelming now but it also sets up Synchros and Exceeds exceedingly easily. Now if Legendary Ocean affected the levels everywhere... Jesus... but alas.
It's not a bad card...
3/5 General use: (Any deck running Water anything probably runs cards this thing can summon)
4/5 Frog-engine: (Free special summons of dead tuners and engine pieces for extra oomph can be fun and helpful)
Tomorrow I'll review something I guess... Oh and if someone tells me something recent to review in a comment I will review it.
I'm not personally a fan of cards like this or Book of Life. Themed revival normally isn't that good unless it's done at a +1. I like the idea of this in Ritua decks though.
