State of the Blog Address

Advanced Dark Review: http://yaminoduel.blogspot.com/2012/04/advanced-dark.html First Double post in a while

Well back to normalcy for now. I'll be doing decklists starting May 1st but I need to gather more information and build a few more decks and test them so until then I'll be on a slight hiatus. Don't worry I'll be back May 1st with not just decklists but also Card Reviews and such interspersed throughout as I need variety in my posts in order to survive the month as I've recently noticed.

This month has been quite nice in terms of growth averaging 430 views a day. Which is slightly better than last month which is good pacing if I do say so myself.

I've discovered a lot about my own tastes recently so I'm quite pleased to announce a new change to happen to the blog in a few months. Quest Comics is going to soon be hosting Vanguard tournaments along with their M:tG and Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments. I'll be enrolled in West GA this fall in time for Set 6 and 7 of Vanguard to be released in English. I'll also begin playing M:tG in earnest once M13 or w/e it will be called comes out. I've essentially quit playing Yu-Gi-Oh in real life not due to a dislike of the game but rather a lack of fun as of late. I'll still be doing Yu-Gi-Oh posts but this fall I'll have far more post variety and far better posts in general as it branches out to include multiple games.

I'll still do set reviews and as my skill in Vanguard and M:TG increases I'll do set reviews for them as well. So I'm very happy now. I'm now though looking for a good Yu-Gi-Oh player to host his Tourney Reports on this blog, there won't be any pay of any kind but you'll have full rights to your posts which won't be altered without permission. Well if you feel like you want to help out with such a thing and can do so at least three or four times a month I'll gladly accept your application. Just E-mail me at Aj.Ricks13@gmail.com, with:
-Your preferred E-mail address
-Google Username
-A snippet (Paragraph) of an article you have written for any topic recently
-Availability
-Time Zone
-How often you go to Locals, Regionals and YCS's

With all that information I can decide on who to have join my relatively inactive staff of Authors. Just please for the love of all that is holy try to use as little texting speech as possible. "lol" and "WTF" are very much so fine just don't use them too often as I am personally trying to use them less as well.

Thank you for your continued support through this trying time.

State of the Blog Address!!

Well we are once again here to witness another month of Yami no Duel. This past month has been a huge success for Yami no Duel even more of you loved viewers began to view this site than ever before and have even began to comment more often on the posts leaving me extremely happy. Some of you may have noticed that I put a soft block on commenting on anything older than 7 days by making you all wait for me to review the comment before it is published. I did that so as to filter out those who didn't notice how old some of the posts they were commenting on were.

Moving on, we have welcomed a new Writer to the blog, Spitta!! So now we have a grand total of Three Writers. I the Administrator for the Blog and Head Editor Yuginshin, My Partner in Crime and Discovery Ernest,  and now My Friend and somehow I guess Rival Spitta!!! The blog has evolved from it's humble beginnings and its about to cross over into the New World!!! Unbeknownst to the blog there exists even more danger and powerful enemies as the duelist returns to take over the New World! *Insert random opening song here*

Soon my viewers and friends there will be a Return of the Duelist!!! As I begin this month of Card Reviews I am looking forward to meeting this Duelist and writing about him in a thorough article to show the world his true colors. It'll be a struggle but with your support I'm sure we will come out on top. Now then this month has breached 10000 views and beat out Feburary by over 1000 views. Next Month with the Return of the Duelist I'm expecting some earth-shattering results.

Normally I make these addresses fairly long but in interest of the new poll question I'll leave it short. "Do you like the 'State of the Blog Address'?" I'm expecting a flood of replies to the simple Yes or No question.

Also: Not going to be a poll but comment here with what you think: Do you like the month of Decks and Strategies followed with a month of Card Reviews which then is followed by a month of Decks and Strategies? If so then I'll keep the format it just so happens though that April and February were both new set release months so coorelated perfectly. I have no idea about the set after Return of the Duelist though there just has been no information on it. If it follows and comes out 2 months after Return of the Duelist though I cannot change the format of my schedule (JUNE).

BTW Persona 4 episode 25... Damn you!!!!! Why would you give the New Game+ Option!!!! Now I'm waiting for an OVA that may never come... Or you'll just surprise me with an Episode 26 either way you are a douchebag and should die in a fire underwater during a sandstorm in Antartica!!! BTW Lucifer is an epic Persona!!! but I want my Izanagi no Ookami!!!

BTW2: Just downloaded Katawa Shoujo... The only good thing to come out of 4chan since.... I don't know... Thank you Reddit for showing me about such an interesting Visual Novel I can't wait to play it.

Everyone that happens to still be on Spring Break good luck, have fun, and be safe!! I'll be here tomorrow with the first review!!

State of the Blog Address March Edition

So this is the second State of the Blog Address signaling a switching over from Card Reviews back to Decks and Strategy. The blog's average views have since December have nearly doubled. In December this blog received 4000+ views. In Feburary this blog has received 10000 views. I'm quite massively proud of this blog and I'm happy many of you view this blog daily to see what new post I have made. I have been late in posting recently due to DN testing for March, I already have a few decks lined up so as to ease my transition not only into a new format of deck building but also into a new card set that will soon be following in April (Card Reviews in April (Return of the Duelist)). There are many things I've been meaning to experiment with especially Card Car "D", Double Torrential Tribute, and the lack of obscenely easy Synchro Summons. Thanks to DN updating the list tomorrow I'll be able to get to work seriously.

Finally there is also the factor of my real life, I have been able to devote time to this blog quite well but in recent days I've had so much to prepare for that things have been relatively late in posting. Right now I am doing a crash course in Soul Caliber V and am practicing a team of Ryu, Nemesis, Storm/Amaterasu for Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3. So occasionally my posts will be rather later than my standard and promised 7 PM EST mark. There is more work to be done and this blog will hopefully continue it's rise in viewership as I begin to make decklists and strategy.

Thank you all for viewing and I heart-fully hope that you all will continue to give me your support as I perform this service as much as for me as it is for you.

State of the Blog Address

Today marks a landmark achievement for Yami no Duel and i'm quite amazed at the reception of over 400+ views today. The highest before now was 1000+ for 2 days when I hosted the Rom for the Over the Nexus.

Since then we've been through ups and downs but recently I've put measures in place in order to ascertain what you want to see posted. I consulted with my cabinet of fellow bloggers and learned some new tricks like scheduling. I've been quite active this month and have made over 20 decks this month alone.

Now though we are moving on to stable but yet uncharted territory in the reviewing of cards. I assure you my viewers that these reviews in the coming weeks will be quite comprehensive in relation to the complexity of the card.

This month i'll be doing a full set review of Galactic Overload and many of the promo's released recently and within this coming month. In March I'll go back to deck-building as the new format looms.

Thank you my viewers for reading this blog everyday and putting up with my past failures to provide support. I like followers but even more than that I like comments. The more information you guys give me on what you think of things or want the more I can return to you in the form of information. I won first place at my DECA Regional in the Business Services Marketting Series and am going on to State in Feburary. I am not expecting a win but I am expecting to do relatively well. If by a miracle I do win I get to go to Nationals.
